We each deal with our lives in our own personal manner, and if something happens, we shouldn't blame anyone but ourselves.
My tax money goes directly into supporting programs whose purpose is consulting and helping assulted women. I have no problems with these programs, actually I advocate them, but I'd rather that these cases don't come up to begin with.

And stop bashing Potter. He may be young, but he raises a good, and often mispelled, point about rape in present day. You can argue all you want, but statistics show that many rape cases occur with older men and younger women. For the last time, I'm not saying she will be assulted, and I'm not calling him a rapist. They can date, get married, have kids, own a castle, and eventually rewrite the book on romance and I'd give them a resounding hurrah. I just like to look at things from multiple angles.

I'm going to be such a great parent, I can't wait. Seriously who wants to have kids with me right now? I won't take no for an answer.

Exactly. I said the same thing about Fluffy and little did I know that whole thing was a charade for him to stick it in me, forcefully. I'm telling you all this because I just don't want the same to happen to Riot.

I didn't let it ruin our relationship, we still have a good (albeit awkward) friendship.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't know whether Mamimi and Coty are experiencing "true love" and it's none of my business, anyway.

The reason I bothered to respond to your complaints is because you made a fairly reasonable post to remind her to be careful, she made a fairly reasonable post to tell you not to worry, and then you made an incredibly condescending reply calling her naive because she felt she could adequately judge her boyfriend's safety and suggesting that the only reason your post hadn't changed her mind was the delusion of immortality that all teenagers obviously share.

The issue of women being told that their judgment is invalid or that they can't think for themselves when rape enters the equation is a bit of a sore spot for me. I fully recognize that you probably don't endorse this as a general principle, but reread and think about what you said. If the board had a resident feminist, she would be ripping you to shreds right now; as it is, I'm tempted to take on the role just so I can do you the favor.

Your new post was a little more civilized, but you're still going on in the same vein. May I suggest that you've said your bit and that further griping about how you're misunderstood and she doesn't know what she's getting into probably isn't going to persuade her (or anyone else) to act any differently? Your late lamented tax dollars aside, of course.

And Merk, Riot: You make me smile with my heart. :P

if there was a resident feminist, Im 100% sure I would have publicly humiliated her, proved all her morals wrong, made her soil herself, and probably get her to stop posting.

Hey now, don't jump to conclusions. The feminist could easily be someone other than you.
