Back on topic, I used an email address with decent spam blocking, so I haven't seen a noticeable increase in spam since I signed up. I also did the blockbuster online thing for one offer, which I am enjoying much more than I thought I would.

I just made a new hotmail account and used it..takes care of the spam, and it's free. They'll delete it when I stop using it.

The reason it's a bunch of shit is this:

EVERY forum I'm a member of I see threads or banner ads to join a "conga line" for a fucking ipod. You do realize, these conga lines already have 300+ in the queue, and these impatient people get theirs before you. That's 1500 people just to start off with that need to sign up before you're even thought of recieving one.

On top of that, did I mention these stupid ads are everywhere?

Oh yeah, and also the deals are a ploy to get your name. After you sign up you get call after call and email after email. Thank god Indiana has a no call list or I would be murdering some people.

I could continue going but truthfully I don't see a point, if you haven't seen the scam in this you're retarded. And I feel sorry for your 5 friends you "reffered".

I guess really if you can put up w/ the shit it causes, then it's a good deal.

Uhh..did you not read that I already GOT my iPod from this site? I have GMail also, so I really don't get too much spam mail anymore.

I get 1-2 spam mails per day MAX, and the spam filter picks them up.

great you got your ipod...how about the thousands of people that are waiting (for months depending upon the deal) still for their tv/ipod/xbox/flat screen/computer/lcd/whatever the fuck else. Don't even try to tell me all of the sites ship, you can do a simple google search to see numerous sites are either overloaded or flat out not shipping.

if you're ever bored and want to check just telnet into your mail server...it'll usually plug the os or the mail software it uses...
