FreeiPods.com

Post by TylerHHS »

I know, there's no such thing as a free lunch. There's no such thing as a free anything, this is a scam, I'll never get it. I've heard em all.

But Thursday I got my iPod from freeipods.com =D!

How, you may ask? Easy.

Sign up at freeipods.com. Complete an offer (I chose Video Professor, it was $6.95 for s/h, but there are other offers that are free or only cost $1), and refer 5 friends under you to complete an offer.

It's totally legit, they also run several other sites, including freeflatscreens, freeminimacs, and freephotoipods.com.

Any questions? Ask me, I'll do the best I can to answer.

So basically do you have to get your five other friends to sign up on a service as well to get it? I heard about a bunch of people all going in on this, and then just cancelling all the services they 'bought' to get the free iPod.

That's right.

If I didn't return 1 of the discs for my Video Professor, they would charge my CC $69.95. Instead, I returned 1 disc and they charge me nothing.

Easy.

I'm sure they're banking on the same sort of mentality that goes along with mail-in rebates. They know that some people will fail to return the product just as many people fail to file their rebate claims. They can offer a very enticing offer that they will fulfill, but they still make money off the people who are too lazy/forgetful/stupid to actually complete the action that makes it such a good deal.

One person tries to get 5 people to sign up for stuff.

Those 5 people try to get 5 people to sign up for stuff.

Those 25 people try to get 5 people to sign up for stuff.

Those 125 people try to get 5 people to sign up.

Those 625 people try to get 5 people to sign up.

Those 3,125 people try to get 5 people to sign up.

Those 15,625 people try to get 5 people to sign up.

And so on. How is this combined with the rebate-thing mentioned by Ho not a pyramid scheme?

Ok, here's how it works.

freeipods.com has offers that you complete for various services, including:

-Blockbuster Online

-eFax

-various credit cards

-Video Professor

-Vonage

-various weight loss pills and skin treatments

-online services that help you find good deals on stuff

Those companies that have the offers on Gratis' (freeipods.com) PAY freeipods.com to refer people, and that's how freeipods.com can buy the iPods, ship them to you for free, and still make money.

Your definition of pyramid scheme may be different than mine too.

There are a ton of other free sites out there too, I'm trying to get the following:

-27" Sony Wega-8 referrals

-Dell PC, it's an ok computer-10 referrals

-Altec INMOTiON speakers for iPod-4 referrals

-$250 PayPal-5 referrals

The first two are run by the same company, the other 2 are both entirely different companies.

I've signed up for a few, but haven't seen enough traffic for it to work yet.

Free iPods

Free PocketPCs

Free High End PCs

Free Gaming Systems (XBOX, PS2, GC, DS)

Free Gamecube

I figure if I get enough people to see if it's legit, great. If not, no big deal.

I actually did this a long while ago...and it's just retarded...The whole thing is setup to where you give your info and then people will start e-mailin' you about stuff you don't need...it's pointless...eh...
