I was wondering how long it has taken you guys to achieve the ability to get AA's and A's consistently, and in some cases get those AAA's.

My first Heavy AA came in either late first year, early second. This is my third year. Haven't AAA yet (without making one step edits, heh...)

I got a Heavy AA after a few months of playing, but it was on a 5th mix, My Generation. Matsuri Japan was my first Extreme AA on Heavy.
I'm having trouble remembering my first AAA now.

I had a decent amount of AAs after a week or two of playing, then same thing with the arcade. (cause I played at hom for a week or two before the arcade.
*edit*
I mean heavy AAs, standard and stuff i had a few in the first week, but i really didn't play standard for more than a day or two, so i didn't try those much.

I'm really bad at PA. I guess I have too much natural rhythm or something. I don't know, I just don't really give a shit about PA really, I can get plenty of AAs. I just want AA on final stage so I can get extra stage, because I'm cheap and I want my extra song.
But I don't get bent out of shape if I don't do well. I usually don't.

My fisrt AA was Cow Girl followed by Holic and that is all I have managed to so, but then again, they are the first songs I ever passed on heavy. No AAA's either, I just cant seem to PA, but I still do pretty well, always come darn close.

I've been playing for almost a month and a half and have been having major inconsistencies in my PA. From what I've seen it's best to practice the aspect of PA to the fullest when you're playing "comfortable" songs. Stuff without a lot of crossovers and a whole lot of straight rhythms, like Holic and Freckles is the best way to start out.
It's really just a matter of climbing up the ladder and refining your accuracy. Don't try to AA trippy songs like Gamelan or Xenon if you can't do it on something as straightforward as Holic.
