And you all thought I was biased? At least I didn't add anything about gothsFort Wayne, Indiana Voted Dumbest City in America

Fort Wayne, Indiana was voted the dumbest city in America by Men’s Health Magazine. I smell voter fraud.
Their local hockey team is called the Komets.
Yeah, that’s comets spelled with a “K”.
Ron Artest has a record label and he named it Tru Wariors. I don’t know if he lives anywhere close to Fort Wayne, Indiana but he might be close.
Of course Fort Wayne is fighting back. They aren’t going to take this lying down.
One of their columnists Kevin Leininger came to their defense calling the Men’s Health article just another “evil liberal media conspiracy” because he was bright enough to notice that eight of the ten dumbest places on the list were in “red states” while 8 of the 10 the smartest cities were in “blue states”. “It's not a coincidence that a certain amount of cultural elitism was at work here."
Really?
I guess when he makes reference to “red states” and or “blue states” he is referring to the television graphics the networks used during the election to show which states voted for Bush and which voted for Kerry.
Even making a reference like that pretty much makes you an idiot don’t you think?
What are we now? Blue states vs. Red States?
Besides, if you want to go there and use the blue states vs. red states reference I would not be surprised if red states had the dumbest cities.
It would explain why that imbecile doesn’t offend them.
Dubya makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up when he says things like he did when Mark Trahant asked Dubya at the UNITY conference in Washington DC, on August 6, 2004 about tribal sovereignty.
In fact let me tell you what the exact question was. This is a direct quote from the transcript.
Mark Trahant asked, “Most school kids learn about government in the context of city, county, state and federal, and of course, tribal governments are not part of that at all. Mr. President, you have been a governor and a president, so you have unique experience looking at it from two directions. What do you think tribal sovereignty means in the 21st century and how do we resolve conflicts between tribes and the federal and state governments?”
And Dubya responded...
“Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. You're a -- you're a -- you have been given sovereignty and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities.”
Shudder.
The audience was even laughing at him and he didn’t even pick up on it. He thought they were laughing at the question and not at his answer.
Take a look for yourself. I linked to it.
If that doesn’t give you shudders you must be from a “red state”.
I think I am getting the hang of this. Just what we all needed yet another way to keep this country divided.
Men’s Health Magazine which gave them the dubious honor of being the dumbest city in the country arrived at their conclusion by looking at certain criteria, (none of which were what color their state was filled in with by television news producers on election night amazingly enough).
Bachelor's degrees per capita
Residents' SAT scores
State creativity scores (patents per capita, for instance)
Number of universities
Number of Nobel Prize winners for physics and medicine born within city limits.
Gerry Prokopowicz, who served as Lincoln Scholar for nine years at Fort Wayne's Lincoln Museum, admits that there is “a strong current of anti-intellectualism mixed with complacency and ignorance that characterizes much of the local business leadership here in Fort Wayne."
Hey they must be right. That is pure cultural elitism right there for ya. He even worked in a Museum. That is always a sure sign of someone being a cultural elitist. You can't lose with that one. Plus he was their Lincoln scholar to boot. And we all know that Lincoln was a God damn liberal.
Doesn’t he know he lives in a red state?
definately worth my last post of the day.
