First I miss the whole planking trend, and now I miss coneing. Please post trends as soon as they emerge so I can be young and hip.

No kidding. That was an awesome game.
According to Wikipedia, skills required are cunning and misdirection.

"You cannot ice block an ice block, as this would lead to back and forth infinite ice blocks."
God this picture is funny. You're really not enjoying that Ice, bro.

How does one "miss" a trend? What's stopping you from doing it now? Why do you care so much what others are doing? Can't you be yourself? Start your own trends.

My roommate's girlfriend tried to ice me once at our house. I told her, "We don't drink shitty cranberry flavored bitch drinks in this house" then I threw the bottle at her and morphed into a silverback gorilla.

Ok I'll bite. I miss a trend when it comes and goes through the bell curve of popularity without my knowledge. I don't spend a lot of time on Reddit or other meme-hype sites. Nothing is stopping me from doing it now, but I don't like it when I get the ol' 'Oh... that...' eyeroll when something is played out. I iced a bro last summer, and he seemed bored of it. I don't care
that much, but stuff like this is pretty funny to me. Being myself is just submitting to a middle class life of corporate dronedom. I'm only good at being average.

What the fuck is this shit that you people in the US are doing? I step out of the room for a few years and everyone turns even more stupid.

People have always been this dumb and I believe the trends we are talking about now are international.
Yup.

As opposed to DDR or unicycling which are any less stupid? Life is all about being into ridiculous stuff. Sure, 95% of memes are dumb/uncreative, but you never know when some fad changes your life.
Isn't
love stupid?

Fad following is dumb, I just do the things I enjoy and certain things I enjoy happen to align with things other people enjoy which is what forms communities and/or fads. There are still some things I like that I doubt many other people on Earth like so you generally wouldn't see me bringing that sort of thing up, but bringing something popular up makes sense because other people are more likely to be familiar with it.

We're all just pawns of the media and its corporate overlords.

Anyone that claims they don't follow any fads is a liar/hipster.

Yeah I didn't want to call him out on it but unless you're laying naked in a field with your mouth open hoping that bugs fall into your stomach so you can sustain yourself then you follow some sort of fad.
