1-18-08/Cloverfield/Untilted J.J.Abrams Project

Anyone who saw the previews before Transformers knows what I'm talking about, although I didn't see it, I've heard the internet buzz and am very intrigued.
All the bootlegs of the trailer are being removed from youtube soon after being posted, so good luck finding one that works. I was lucky enough to see a high quality one this morning before it got the banhammer.
If you don't know about it, it's a movie set in New York supposedly on the date 1-18-08 (according to the timestamps on the photos at http://www.1-18-08.com one of the two official sites for the movie)
It seems to be filmed with handheld camcorders ala blair witch, but professionally done with hollywood effects and such. The trailer starts out at a going away party for some guy named "Rob" suddenly the lights go out and there's an explosion, people at the party run out on the roof where they witness a giant "ball" of lava or flames spewing up from the earth and big chunks of it flying into the city, destroying buildings and cars (and probably people). They run downstairs and into the street where everyone is in a panic, screaming and yelling. Someone yells "I saw it, it's alive, it's huge!" then you see the head of the Statue of Liberty crash through a building and into the street. Screen goes black and says "From producer J.J. Abrams, coming 1-18-08" then lists some other producers and maybe the director, I can't remember.
ITT we will post our findings and speculations about the movie.
