I love ddr like all here but my quetion is what the heck do you do with your arms. i mean sometimes ill just wave them around like a queer and other times ill just mess around and do the robot or something when my friends are around. so basically my question to all of you is what to do what to do with the arms. i want it to look cool too. not just like i normally do flinging my arms around. oh yes and by the way i am a great basement player of ddr.

Waving arms around like a queer > all

songs I know/don't require alot of 16th and 32nd note runs and such, I keep my arms pretty stationary.

Otherwise, me=a kid with ds that just heard he's going to McDonalds.

Oh my god, I must see this.

My arms pretty much hang lifelessly at my sides unless I need to swing them around during a turn that I need extra momentum to do.

Ive always wondered what I do with my arms, and then when I play I totally forget about them. It's one of those really wierd things. I think I just keep them stationary lol.

thats all good advise but i have found what to do. push the other person off the dance pad. that is what the arms are for. or with ddr extreme use the eye toy. a nice installment i must say.

I usually try and get into the song a bit, so my arms are usually a little more controlled than most. ^_^ Just my stylistic preference.

Use them for balance. Thats just about it.
There is no way to stylishly do catas....

you could do what I do a lot of the time..leave your hands in your hoodie pocket unless you need them for balance.

Good point, GoR. When it comes to the stamina-killing catas, there's really nothing you can do there. Your focus is on your legs and the screen...

Then again, I don't do catas that often. ^_^

Of course, she did say she diden't do catas often, and reason would suggest that when one doesn't do 'em a lot, they become hard.
