Hey other big cities. Did you know Indianapolis is the lamest city in the United States?

I want to move to Chicago on the double, but I can't so I'm stuck with the Superbowl Shuffle.

Does Carroll not count?
That videos isn't great, but it's not nearly as bad as most of the comments on YouTube make it out to be.

After a back and forth fight with the ICVA's marketing team, the voice of the people won. It felt like they started taking this seriously after their government funding was called into question, but hey... I'm just glad we don't look like a bunch of backwards, talentless rubes (even if we are.)
I <3 this city a little more each day.

My only impressions of Carroll are surrounding that book the kid published that got him expelled and the one friend I knew who transferred to Canterbury for her sophomore year onward.
Like I said, I'm just basing this on high school experiences. I could look up test scores and see some random school I hadn't thought of like Elmhurst (probably not) pop up randomly.

I've heard of Carroll's fabled "book", but it happened after I graduated, so I can't really say much about that. I'd like to read it out of curiosity if anyone knows of a copy floating around online.
Out of curiosity I just
looked it up, and apparently Homestead and Carroll are tied for the top with a score of nine with Northrop trailing with a score of six. Private schools don't have ratings, but I'll just go with what you say and say that Canterbury is probably pretty good.
Also as an aside, I never understood the hate of Homestead.

Most of the white, affluent kids go to either Homestead, Canterbury or a parochial. It's easy to hate.

I can get that.
What confuses me is that Carroll is also primarily made up of affluent white students and is apparently academically comparable to Homestead, however all of the hate tends to flow south to Homestead instead of north to Carroll.

It is a mystery!
From what I gather, most of the hate just came from people who lived on the north side of town and since all the arcades are up there I was sort of inundated with people who went to Northrop, Carroll, North Side, etc. We got some hate from the poor as fuck schools like Wayne and South Side but they hate everyone so I never took it to heart. Anyway, the hate probably stems from the fact that H-Town was the "other" rich white kid school and we seemed to get all the statewide attention since we were a bigger school. For the record I don't think Carroll got any hate from Homestead, we were too busy hating on schools like Carmel.
Fuck those guys. If you want to talk about overprivileged white kids then you need to look no further than the north side of our lovely state capital! I mean, look at fucking Potter. The kid dropped out of high school and smokes major dank yet he owns video cameras that are probably worth more than my car. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but love for the man, but as a solid middle-class white kid I can understand the hate for those with more money. It's a constant reminder that the world isn't fair and that those who don't do shit but have a lot of money will always get ahead in life.
Chad comes from a rich white (Jewish, obv) family too but he was Kentucky-raised so he's not the best example, otherwise I'd totally use him instead of Potter. Alas, little Pooter is the most germane.
But high school shit is dumb. We should be bitching about the Ivy League.

All the negative reviews say "the teachers and academics are great! But 1 star because kids are clicky and didn't want to be my fwiend : ( "
I can see why people aren't jumping up to be friends with the type of kid who runs to a random internet review site to write stuff like that. Maybe it's different now, but at least in the middle school, new kids always seem to get a lot of support and friends, and there are plenty of opportunities, clubs, organizations, etc. where kids are very welcoming.

Incoming whine...
Man oh man. How do you guys deal with attention needy people? The sort of person that always needs to be in the spot light. Everyone is a little boastful and we all love to tell stories, but some people do it way beyond what I would call a normal amount.
Part of me wants to be combative and call out lies/exaggerations. Part of me just wants to walk away. Part of me wants to say, "I really don't care."
It is so super annoying to me, and often leaves me thinking about it hours after the fact. Is anyone else as put off as I am? How do you deal with these people in social/work situations?
Edit: To clarify attention needy, I mean the people that require everything be about them all the time. Like everyone else in the world is a size 2 font footnote in their epic autobiography.

Just make fun of them on a messageboard and laugh at them when they've been hurt so bad that they are compelled to make an account on said messageboard and try to give you your comeuppance.
That's what I do.
Kors K is a neat guy and I wonder how he feels about touching the lives of so many.
