This is off the boob topic but-- Anytime someone brings up the Bible or Hitler into an argument I just want to cringe. Do pseudo-intellectuals only watch the History Channel or something? Also people need to cite their fucking sources. I can literally type anything and say its from the Bible because, as your average Christmas-loving Catholic, I can honestly say I don't know the Bible word for word off-hand (Matthew 12:2). Literally you can say something that could plausibly be in the Bible and Joe Sixpack would believe you.
And what the fuck, do people not understand the concept of context? You can twist any fucking Bible passage and have it mean what you want it to mean. Context, people.
"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews 4:16
What kind of sentence is this? This is the entire passage taken from here: http://www.sandersweb.net/bible/verse.php. This really needs to be thoroughly divulged in other passages to give it all an appropriate meaning. What do they mean by throne of grace? Figurative or literal throne? Why were people not confident before? Who do we need to help? Why do we need to help? Who the fuck is even writing / saying this passage?
Look, I'm just saying that people who are using the Bible in some sort of argument or debate are not doing it right. Religion is something for you and you alone and you can interpret whatever faith you have in whatever way you want. But if you're trying to prove some point then God damn, cite fucking National Geographic or something. At least then you can see some nasty floppy titties. I can prove titties exist.
"Because God said so" is not an argument. You cannot prove God said anything and I cannot prove God did not - there are no journalists in the afterlife.
