The zygote. Afterall a zygote is merely an egg cell that has been fertilized by a sperm and is common to all mammals. Assuming that there was at least one mammal around before chickens came along, then the zygote came first. If that's not the case then I'm going to say that the chicken came first. Why? Good question! Perhaps it's a packaging issue, buns are bulky and somewhat fragile. Making the package wider perhaps make it too prone to damaging and more difficult to store or shelve.
