Funny how discussions on rap music ALWAYS come down to race.

I really don't give a damn what color whatever artist in question is, or what kind of social or ethnic significance is has. I make my judgements based on what I hear.

Well, Sin... I guess you've got a semi-valid point.

Let me raise another one:

Is there any cultural bearing on what kind of music certain people like?

Like say... do people from south of the Mason-Dixie line generally prefer country music?

Do white suburban males from Carmel, Indiana tend to gravitate towards "hardcore" or "emo" genres?

How about urban black youths? Do they tend to gravitate towards HipHop or R&B?

Kids in Carmel don't listen to Hardcore.
As far as north Indiana goes, crews are in Indy, Ft. Wayne, Warsaw, Kokomo and Lig.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

I'm not saying social or ethnic factors don't influence what people listen to, because I know they do to a point, especially when the specific kind of music is popular.
All I'm saying is that personally, I don't pay any attention to that side of it. I don't judge how good an artist is by how many fans they have, how many plays they have on MTV, what color they are, etc.

If you say selection of music has nothing to do with race, you're retarded. It's a big factor. Even in Japan, the people that listen to hip hop want to be black. The girls into hip hop are often refered to as kokujo's or ganguro girls. They wear shirts that say things like "Black is beautiful." and all that. Seriously, I don't hate any genre except country. I will say this, most hip hop has no depth. I get tired of hearing about your Escalade, whore, and money. That's why people download your shit and don't pay for it.

I think you can listen to hiphop without dressing a certain way, and I think you can dress a certain way without listening to hiphop. I could be wrong here though, i do tend to dress pretty "hiphop"

All I know is "This is Why I'm Hot" is the worst goddamn song of this year.
I got my propaganda, I got revisionism.
I got my violence in high-def ultra-realism.
All a part of this great nation.
