Alright 11 hours a day then, on average. 55 hours a week for 36 weeks.
1980 hours a year.
Riot that is less than the 40 hours a week workin' man please do not fight this fact. Riot I want your vacation time is what I'm trying to say.

It's kind of goofy logic but over the whole year it might work out similar... but still that doesn't count summer time at conventions and meetings, more planning, and all that stuff. Plus sometimes you're required to take further education to keep up with licensing. And who knows maybe I'll have to pick up an extra little job during the summers for some side cash to pump out new babies every year.
And really if you get to sit around on the internet and post on forums for part of your day you should subtract hours off work day if we get to use EXTRA FACTORS =P

Mad teacher
Well, what about people who fly out on business. Would you say they work 24 hours a day on those days?

Well they aren't actively WORKING or doing stuff besides sitting and playing DS at the airport. If they were working on writing some business proposal or whatever in their time outside the office then I'd count that.

My boss just literally handed me (at 5:00pm) 20 Pacers ticket for the game tonight. If anyone in the Indy area wants to go and you're not creepy shoot me an e-mail at
mmerkler@indiana.edu and I will hook you up. It's a suite with free food / drinks / booze.
You have 1 hour to e-mail me. I really need to get rid of these tickets.
