We'll see, I want to get bare fucking bones functionality first and then add some frills. Still need web space first, I'm pretty much building the database locally on some VMware Linux. I haven't really looked into letting people create usernames and passwords and I'd imagine that's going to be pretty involved. If you know how to do that then I'd could certainly use the help!

what do you need? windows? linux? Thought you were into the whole microsoft sql thing

I can probably give you chrooted root access on a cent server with webspace / mysql etc

The majority of my limited experience lies in MySQL, so I am building this database with that. I kinda sorta know what I'm doing but this is entirely a learning experience and a resume builder. Once I get something working here I'd like to put it up somewhere on the internet. Potter I appreciate the help and once I think it's ready I'll let you know and tell you what I need so we can get this working.

These are the people who still post somewhat actively here. That's only nine people. Lumped Ho / MonMotha because they don't post enough on their own, but together they make up about the same amount of content as one of us. Same for those lolable ITG kids.

I think we should vote to extend Merkip into our fold and increase our numbers. Sure the quality of our collective posts may or may not dwindle, but I think it's a risk we should take to prevent this board from going bottom-up. Our messageboard charter states that we need a majority (>50%) of the active users to vote in favor of Merkip in order for her to join us as an IndyDDR Superstar. Given our current state, we need a minimum of five votes to reach quorum, without quorum the motion fails and we have to wait exactly 90 days before we can vote on this matter again. Should the vote result in a "Nay" to include Merkip into the fold, a motion cannot be extended until the user makes a minimum of 150 posts, at which point the floor can be reopened and an invitation reconsidered.

For Ho / Monmotha and the ITG kids, the first representative of their group to cast their vote will be final.

And with that let the voting commence.
