Brian and I agreed that since now Adrian and Brian are doing singles shit that he and I should switch to doubles.
WHICH DOUBLES CHART SHOULD WE START THIS NEW FOUND ERA WITH?

In any case, I played Max 300 yesterday in addition to the song of the week and I got 33 greats. Does that mean I can say I'm better than DAVE101 at Max 300?

Yes, I accept defeat.

I am still too fat to do Max 300 and Brian would not want to do it...
Trust me, I KNOW BRIAN!

Wait. You got 33 greats on MAX300 and you're too fat to play it? It sounds like you're doing just fine.
I'd play it if it got chosen for some reason, but I'd likely just post a DNF.
In other news, I surprised myself tonight:

Holy balls...4 greats! Apparently that's a AAA on X2. Well, whatever.

Max 300 is one of those songs that I can do well on because I've played it a lot and it's not terribly technical. You can pretty much play the entire song facing the screen and not adjusting your body or pivoting the whole time. It's more or less my "go to" extra stage when I don't feel like playing any other 10. I am still fat! I do awful on every other 10 out there!
Does X2 have B2U Orchestra-Groove Challenge doubles? That chart is a real good intro to the weird bullshit you can run into on doubles and I think it's a good song to practice. We should play it!
Brian you beat me. GOD DAMN IT.

I'm having stamina issues at the moment. Yesterday while I was playing, I noticed I was playing very accurately on easier Expert songs (8-10 on the new scale) but I was having difficulty or flat out failing more difficult ones that I normally would pass or at least do better (11-13).
I've passed MAX300 a few times in my life. I don't think I've ever gotten more than a C on it though. I agree that it's not super technical. I can do everything it asks. I just generally can't do it all in one go unless I'm at my peak (DDR) performance. And I am definitely nowhere near that right now.
According to Zenius-I-Vanisher, Brilliant 2U orchestra groove is in X2. I'm game for it. When did the Challenge steps show up? I'm not sure if I've played them before.

I'm 99% sure the singles/doubles challenge steps showed up in Extreme. I don't think (keyword) they were in an Oni course or anything, they were just sort of put there which is unusual. Butterfly is another song I can think of that got new challenge steps but that was actually used in Dancemania Oni. Supernova as far as I know didn't add anything to old songs.
How hard is it to swap out Supernova hardware with Extreme hardware? I got a 573 from Adrian that I'm not doing anything with and I'm thinking about putting it in Brandon's cabinet so I can relive 2003. From the times I've asked him in person and on Facebook he's told me it's okay as long as I don't break anything.
HOW DO I SWAPPED GAIMS?

It's one of those things that fairly easy if you've seen it done or done it before. If you haven't, there's a lot of wires, not all of which are super obvious where they're should end up. And there are some parts that wouldn't be used at all on the 573. I haven't seen the inside of Brandon's cabinet to see how the EXT I/O unit is installed and how much moving things around might be involved. I'm not sure how much help I can really be in a forum post.

Welp the mini-maid, despite *ahem* not being able to handle 32nd notes, is stupid easy to install on both DDR and DM. I imagine it's similar to a 573 installation in the sense that you plug the JAMMA cable and the cables for the DDR sensors and the audio cables into the 573 and then you're good to go. Now I'm no Brandon/Adrian/Brian, but I can't imagine you would need anything more to plug into the 573 other than:
Sensor cables
JAMMA
Audio
These things are intended to be easy to swap out. Does the Python2 need more shit plugged into it to run than what you would find in a 573?

What? You're less than < 200 lbs, Chad is irrelevant, and you're within 10 lbs of me. So I don't see how it's not fair game.

If you really want us to Max 300 doubles then we can do it next week! It's not a whole lot harder than the singles chart as long as you bar rape.

I have never passed the doubles chart for MAX300. I tried bar raping once, I played much worse the one time I tried, it was completely un-fun, and I have no desire to do it again.
Like I said, if you want to do MAX300, I'll give it a try, but I would expect a DNF. If I actually get back to where I'm playing regularly again (at least a couple times per week), I'm sure you'd still beat me, but I might have a shot at at least passing it. So maybe let's save MAX300 for a few weeks from now and I will work on my stamina for it.
Weren't we going to start with Brilliant 2U Orchestra Groove Challenge?
