Why is it that christians seem to think they're the only group that's not allowed to be offended...?
Sure, some of them have never met a non christian. But the ones on the internet? There's religious diversity at every turn. It's next to impossible to go to a forum or a chat and NOT find someone different than you.

This wouldn't be a problem in some other parts of the world...but this is America! The world's center of religious and cultural diversity, understanding and tolerance. And yet, some American's seem to think the christians are the only group in this country that deserve their rights and privileges are citizens of this nation.

I think it's really cute that Christians all know who's going to heaven and who's going to hell.

Last time I checked, none of them were God, so none of them really know.

So why are they condemning using their own human judgement?


This isn't anything against anybody that's disagreed in this thread. But, you know... "Sex, and the discussion of it" offended me. Did I go in and disagree with everything said? No. I just didn't go back. Such a very, very simple answer to a very, very simple complaint.

I agree with those who think that if you are christian and are offended by this thread then you should be intelligent enough to not look at it given the thread title, but you have no right to tell anyone not to post something like this. I myself do not find it offensive at all since I've long been an atheist. In fact, I find a lot of it downright hilarious. I would never go force my beliefs on someone else or openly say "your beliefs are wrong".

Now I MIGHT be offended by a thread that says "catholicism is the greatest thing ever and here's why all you non catholic fucktards are going to hell" but you know what.... I probably wouldn't open up the thread and read it unless I intended to go in and post a positive, constructive argument against it. I definately would not go in and whine and complain that my beliefs had been offended.

No one is forcing ANYONE to come in here and look at the picture of Jesus on the cross that says "slayer rules" (that was my personal fav) So if you have a problem with it, seriuosly just don't look at it and let the rest of us have a good laugh at something that we find humerous despite its tastelessness.

If people let petty crap like this get to them, then we have some overly uptight people. There are many many religions and I don't think one religion should hold supreme, forcefully over the people, much less a forum

I think the first thing some people on this board need to figure out is that Thread titles do not equal post relevance. People make threads called "Giant spider monkey!" and then go on to post about their feelings on Canadian expansion into Russia. I thought most of you had realized what... interesting.. characters we have on IndyDDR, and how much randomness is used.

Anyways, I'm sick of arguing, mainly because there are better things to talk about. Like cryogenetic llama copulation.

I'll just jump in the flames quickly to suggest that everyone who ISN'T offended by the topic here should go out and immediately watch Monty Python's Life of Brian. It is the most intelligent (and funniest) parody of Christianity of all time. How can you not like a movie that ends with Eric Idle crucified on a cross happily singing 'Always Look On the Bright Side of Life'??
