Electronic music may have been written by drug users, for drugs users, but that doesn't mean you have to be on drugs to enjoy it. Everything doesn't have to be so cut and dry all the time. It's just fucking music.
And for the record, I was adding something to the discussion at hand. Maybe you didn't read it, but I don't feel like repeating all of it again. I beleive you'd call that a waste of internet space anyway, am I right?
But really, I don't see what your big deal is. So what, it's not a rave. Who cares? If they want to party, let them do it. I just don't get why you have to classify music like it's a scientific law. It's just music, it's supposed to be fun.
I dunno, maybe you didn't notice, but it's irritating when people over analyze something that doesn't need to be that in depth. You know, just fyi.
Just let them have fun. They can call it what they want, it doesn't change what it is. It's just a damn party. There's no use getting so bent out of shape over four letters.

that's the most ignorant ass comment i've seen so far in all these pages of bullshit. i could write a 5 paragraph essay after reading all this dumb shit since the last post i made but it won't stick in anyone's head so i'm done. maybe if some of you would actually get out around here (Club Fusion, Melody Inn, Mirage, etc.), you would know that the electronic music scene around here is growing and the drugs are NOT involved. i wish everyone on bluelight could see all this dumb shit that's been said on here. a lot of them would be offended too with all these bullshit drug references and whatnot.

If I can dance around and have fun with all of my friends while listening to good electronic music, then I'm going to call it a rave. There were thousands of dollars worth of speakers and equipment. '
There was an Mc. ( Me... >:| )
There were hundreds of glowsticks, whistles, and even a few air horns handed out. (Party favors)
There WERE drugs. I'll list off what was there....
E( The good kind... that costs $45 a hit. ),
Canabis Sativas (AKA: Marijuana, Pot, Weed, Smoke, Bud, chief, Ganja.)
Various pills.
These items were held by one person and not handed out.
The only thing we were missing was a bigger crowd.

want to know why they play electronic in clubs now?
hiphop attracts way too much violence. it's true! ask any of the indy bars why they don't play hiphop anymore.

Dude, what are you talking about?
Most of the bars and clubs in Indy ONLY play Hip-hop.
Infact, the only one I've found that even plays electronic music is a "Bennigans," and that's just weird because I thought their whole things was being an Irish pub.

And apparently you're not allowed to have fun unless you take drugs. Wow, I must be living a lie then.
And violence or not, they still keep playing hip hop around here. Of course, I'd rather they play electronica...preferably trance, but that'll never happen. Ever.
