We believe the machine at the Fun Park does not have a HDD. Instead, it has a brain on a peetree dish with probes sticking out of it. Join The Party only hates me on that machine and the keyboard only has two funtions now (speed mod and escape). The last time I was at Kingpin Lanes, the Exceed2 machine gave me true random steps and I'm sure the keyboard would fully work there too.

I know that there are at least 2 builds of Exceed 2 in existence. If you can get into the test menu and look on the main screen, there will be a build date in the lower left corner. What is it on each machine?

I could get into the Fun Park machine easy, but the other one would be very hard to do since we don't know the managment well yet. If it helps, the Fun Park one is an Exceed SD upgraded to the Exceed 2 (just HDD swap). The Kingpin machine is a new Exceed 2 GX.

I did a GREAT freestyle tonight. If I were to do it at WPF, I'd win for sure Anyway, I was playing and suddenly, a small dodgeball hit me in the back. I thought nothing of it and coninued to play. Then it happened again on the next song, this time in the face. I was pissed at this point So I turned around, spotted the guy, and started another set with dodgeball in hand First song comes (Greenhorn FS), I get hit in the back again. I turn around and walk up to the kid, peg him in the face with the ball, then walk calmly back to the machine to finish the FS. I passed with a C

I must say I've never been hit with anything before, but I have had basketballs bounce past the stage before, and earlier tonight one bounced across it while I was playing a song on nightmare. Luckily I was on the right side of the pad at the time, and it bounced across the left side. It was a little annoying when the guy ducked across and back in front of me though.

Fuck hitting him in the face with the ball, I would have kicked him in the nuts then stomped on his fucking head after he hit the floor.

I wouldn't go that route. Sadly, modern society has these silly ideas about proportional responses, and the arcade owner might have been a little upset if someone were deliberately bludgeoned into unconsciousness.

I do agree that more abuse might have been called for, though. How close was he to the machine? There's always the "oops-I-tripped-on-the-ball-and-flew-off-the-pads-*accidentally*-landing-full-force-on-your-rib-cage-with-both-knees" maneuver.

I was NOT about to start any more shit with 3 cops in the arcade (2 of which were right next to the machine). If this were to happen at the Fun Park, he'd be getting more his way since the manager loves us and doesn't care (it's happened before).
