I know that in the original format you wanted to make it more interesting by not having you or Chad pick songs. But since it's been just you and me for a long time now and I've been picking the majority of songs (even while participating), do you think that maybe you could just pick one for yourself?

That being said, for lack of any other suggestion, maybe we can stretch ourselves this week and do Xepher (Expert)? I just looked at the chart and it looks quite a bit harder than what we've been doing lately and has some hateful drills in the middle. I'm sure I will be swearing at myself for picking it as soon as I play it.

I have this thing where I cannot pick a song because I get too emotionally invested in it and I doom myself to sucking ass at it. Case in point: every BEET BEET tournament that we've ever had in Indiana (all two of 'em). I feel like if I start picking shit then no one else is going to want to participate and what is arguably one of the best threads on this forum will slowly crumble away and die.

But I am down to play Xepher and I got a little bit of play in before work this evening. 40 greats! That still manages to be a AA even on Supernova terms so that should say something about this chart.

I want bros like Potter, SDP, and Riot to pick shit.

I don't have a machine within 60 miles to play on.

Is the subject line suggesting that we do Daikenkai for this week?

I'm using my gay roommate senses to predict he means that song from Supernova that sounds a lot like Daikenkai.

I'll wait for his confirmation, but I'm game for that to be this week's song.

Remember back in the Extreme days when every goth, off-beat kid who sucked at DDR but played it anyway to be different? Remember how those kids would always play Daikenkai over and over and over again? Xepher is Supernova's iteration of that type of song.

When I first moved to Oregon, there were kids in Hot Topic gear that would play that song on standard three times in a row and do some of shittiest quasi-freestyle spins and knee drops I've ever seen. They also said using the bar was for pussies as they parted their nasty ass long hair wkth their painted finger nails. "SDG'd the legend of max? Doesn't count cause you bar raped it. Lemme play daikenkai and afronova."

I'm happy to hear the uppity DDR goth thing was not just an Indiana thing!
