What does this have to do with consuming sustenance and acquiring musculature?

Merk, going back on what you were saying earlier. Don't rely exclusively on the scale to measure progress. I'm sure you know this but it's common to lose fat and gain muscle without losing weight (since muscle is heavier [read "more dense"] than fat). Water weight at certain times of day vary the numbers like you already said. What you described sounds like a really solid plan, keep counting!

Yeah we got a little off-track.

My scale broke at home so I'm sort of in the dark on my progress but the last time I donated plasma (Friday) they clocked my weight in at 224 and that was with all my clothes, keys, wallet, and shoes on me. I'm lifting every other day now but I'm limited to just curls, tricep extensions, and Barbell Upright Rows since all I have are free weights. We have an adjustable barbell at home but it only goes up to 100 pounds and I can squat/deadlift that shit all day.

I'm looking for a gym in Bloomington but I'm not a student / full-time employee so I can't reap the benefits of the SRSC on the cheap. As much as I love the SRSC (it is probably the best gym I've ever been to) it gets way too fucking crowded and I am easily intimidated by the cocky alpha-male underclassmen. Plus I had my backpack stolen from there when I was a wee little freshman and my precious TI-83 calculator probably got pawned for some sweet herb.

There's a place on the west side over by my ladyfriend's place that I might join - http://bloomington.in.gov/documents/vie ... nt_id=6019

I miss the HPER. The old, dingy basement feel reminded me of a Rocky movie. When it wasn't, ya know, on fire.

C'mon Merk, you're more innovative than that. What about shoulder press, front raises, lat raises, horizontal rows, and bench press? What about body weight lifts like push up and pull ups which you can easily modify the resistance and do anywhere? Gyms are convenient but definitely not necessary.

Bent-over rows, skullcrushers, chest extensions, floor press...

Hey I finally was able to weigh myself back home in Fort Wayne and I made it down to 215.

Swear to God I am going to make it below 200 by the end of the year.

Hell yeah, thanks SDP, I'm glad someone is recognizing my efforts.

I am down to 210 now, I think I will barely be able to slip below 200 come 2012!

No change, I am still hovering around the plateau of 210. I was in Chicago last weekend and fell off the diet wagon for a bit since I was on vacation - I've been good this week though and I hope that I don't eat like shit during Ho's and kthxgiving.
