107.9 IS an awful radio station. They repeat the same damn play list on an hourly basis...and an hour might be generous.
But yeah, I'm not much of a fan for any radio station these days. I get tired of hearing the same songs, and the same shitty car commericals.

My statement was strictly a biased opinion. Is it music technically? Hell if I know? I don't like it. It sounds horrible. It takes no talent and is the main genre that, no matter what, can never sound good live. Have you ever heard a rapper live and it sound good? No. Why? Because they suck. It's 75% digital optimization.

yes atmosphere being backed by a jazz band was awful live

infact it was the worst-best show i've ever seen

or oso
or heiruspecs
or aesop rock
or brother ali
or the roots

all of which i've seen 3-4 times live with various groups/setups backing them up and have yet to be disappointed. just because the few shit mainstream people you listened to doesn't mean an entire genre sucks. for instance i can't stand punk music but you don't see me running around telling the world that the entire genre as a whole has 0 talent...which would be untrue considering what little i've listened to such as afi has progressed and evolved quite a lot as a band.

Yeah, me too. What bugs me even more than the fact that they do it is that NOBODY NOTICES OR SAYS ANYTHING. Every person I've told that to is like "What? No they don't...". And you'd think at least their main competition (96.3) would eat em up for it. But they don't. Probably because they're too idiotic to notice (which I don't see how it's possible).
