The only real problem I have with my speculation is that said person went into witness protection and normally those people get moved very far away from potential trouble. But hey the writing in this show is far from perfect so I wouldn't let that little hurdle mean anything.

This really seemed like some sort of filler episode. I can forgive all the goofs in this episode (I updated your processor technobabble technobabble technobabble and the whole thing with the picture in my previous post) but why the fuck would Dexter let Hanks go? Whatevs, I still have hopes for this season!

- Ghost dad is a go at this point. His face is all over the newspaper and he nonchalantly stands in the middle of a crowded club sharing a drink? The only other possible way this could go is that Hanks is crazy and that Olmos is actually a real nice guy living somewhere in Nebraska. The ghost dad twist is too obvious at this point and I think the writers are leading us on only to go, "Suprise! He's alive! rofl!"

- I enjoy Quinn's macking style. "Yo I already spent 80 bux on dis bitch bwo"

- Doakes 2.0 and Deb are pretty much going to bang at this point. People on this show that hate each other at first always bang.

- This literally felt like episode 10 or 11 of this season. Dexter captures the bad guy, Mos Def gets shot setting up his departure, Deb keeps the engagement ring for the inevitable end of season status quo reset, Miami Metro is zeroing in on a bad guy, etc.

If all the spoilers are true then the end of next week's episode is going to feature a twist and a surprise returning character. Woo!

agree on the ghost dad. also agree at the hilarity of quinns macking, and deb and doakes v2 banging. the horrible technobabble writing pissed me off. upgraded your intel chip to overclock your cpu? what the hell? did nobody look over this before having them say it?

I am all but certain now that Hot Intern is going to be killed by Hanks. Her function as a hot intern has been outsourced to "hack the Gibson" intern and her only purpose now is to be brutally murdered. She will probably be murdered with the ITK hand in her possession and Deb will go "WTF!" and Masuka will be all like "Welp! Silly girl shouldn't have stolen evidence eheheheheh" and Dexter will do some brooding voice-over and it will be the true epitome of dark comedy.

I think Ghost Dad 1.0 might have a send-off this season. The whole "one ounce of light can overcome the darkness" seems like a weird foreshadowing that Dexter will make an effort to not kill people and will get rid of Ghost Dad 1.0 who he will see as a manifestation of his Dark Passenger. Mos Def is going to die as a means of getting written out but he will probably live for a few more episodes. Bachelor Quinn will continue to be awesome but he'll fight a lot with Deb until they get back together. Angel will probably not do much of interest other than be a little less incompetent cop.

I'm pretty sure ITK (as a Ghost Bro or something) or Jonah Mitchell is going to come back and make an appearance. All the references to ITK and fucking season 1 have to have some sort of significance.

lol that face. I've never in my life seen such an attractive and young college professor that hangs out in bars. Miami's police and education system are in dire need of reform.

I'm also surprised that our champion of higher education was so quick to forgive the police from performing an unlawful search of her premises (and bajina.) I bet she incriminates the shit out of herself.
