Re: STARCRAFT
I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that you can play the single player campaign off-line you just need to have an internet connection when you install the game - probably to verify that its a legit copy.
It'll probably cost $60 when it comes out which I think is the norm these days. Hell FFXIII is still $60 the last time I checked. I don't know what the big deal is really, it costs like $80+ to import a music game from Jap town so $60 is relatively cheap.
Honestly the game is worth it if you really enjoy RTS games. If the beta is any indication this game is already at a level of polish that most developers don't even achieve in the entire life cycle of their game. Hell the game has been in development for 7 years so if it's not balls to the wall awesome then Blizzard fucked up.

Re: STARCRAFT
The trend this generation with new games has been PC games being $50 and HD Console games being $60. At least one other PC game has broken this trend (Modern Warfare 2) so I wouldn't be surprised if more of the big-name titles do, too.

Re: STARCRAFT
I think $60 is fair but I loved Starcraft so I'm biased.
Games are expensive so I just buy games I know I'll play for a while. SSF4 and SC2 are definite buys because I'll play them for I'd imagine a very long time. I'm pretty pumped because there haven't been any games that I've been excited about for a long time. Hell the newest game I've been playing outside of music games was Warcraft III and that came out in fucking 2003.

What can I say? Kind of sad too cause I REALLY was looking forward to this. (Seems like between this and Command and Conquer 4 RTSs have been getting fucked over alot lately.)

Re: STARCRAFT
God this game is so awesome. My buddy from Ft. Wayne and I played for about 4 hours yesterday and lost I think maybe 4 games out of 15 or something like that.
The Zergling / Marauder strat that Mike and I did pretty much crushes teams that are in silver.

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Why yes I am interested ^_^
I think I just need the expansion. Do you have Diablo II as well?

Re: STARCRAFT
Mike if you need a CD key there are some sketchy looking Chinese websites out there that will let you just buy a key for like $5.
As sketchy as it appears to be it's legit. I got a Diablo II expansion key from there because I was too lazy to drive to Bloomington to pick up my CDs that are in Riot's closet.

Re: STARCRAFT
If I'm going to sell them, I'd prefer to sell the game and expansion together if possible.

Re: STARCRAFT
Welp! The beta ended this morning and as pathetic as it sounds I am literally heart broken.
I will have nothing to do when I get home from work now for about a month. God fucking dammit. I guess I'll play some more DDR or something and try to not be a fatty.
