Hah, good luck with that. Government officials take bribes, and lobbyists from the food and drug industries make sure the government doesn't hinder their profits. Unless you're gonna get rid of lobbyists, and change the whole way government officials work, this isn't going to change.
(well.. not QUITE getting rid of lobbyists, but close enough)
