Found out what Ian/Tonamel has been up to, thanks Google.
And you should all play our game and leave feedback!

Also, I haven't played DDR in ages. I'm back to being totally out of shape, instead of just being mostly out of shape. I should play again sometime.
I find it hilarious that he joined 2 1/2 years ago and is still beginner XD

Ian I'll send you some feedback on the game once i get around to playing it, within the next couple of days

Hey, I was much higher than that, but I think the forum lost a bunch of my old posts due to some SQL madness ages ago.

No SQL madness. Feb 08, 2005 was just days after "The Great Reset." So apparently you just haven't participated much in the "new" IndyDDR.

Mmm about 3 years ago we wiped the whole board and all users and upgraded to a new message board style. I don't know all the reasons why. I was probably around 2 years before the wipe, too. It's been a long time now =O

I remember seeing a different board, I didn't really know any other details on it as I didn't jump onto the board until a month before I got deployed.

Basically, things got out of hand and I turned the site off to let people cool down a bit. At the same time, I had ideas on new directions I wanted to take the site, so I decided to use the downtime to work on them.

The site closed on Thanksgiving 2004 and reopened February 2, 2005. User tables were intentionally not retained, so everyone had to re-register on the new site.

Pre-reset

Downtime (including some fun facts)

The Great Reset

(BTW, I believe Arka coined the term "The Great Reset")

I would, except that it's very difficult to present without phpBB. Unless you can think of something else, that means either creating a separate installation of phpBB or somehow merging the old db backups (there were several since i used to prune the old site due to space constraints) into this one. Neither of these sounds worth the effort for the tiny number of people left that would actually remember those days.

I'd browse them even though I wasn't here. [/lurker]
I'm sure there are plenty of lulz to be had.
