Because they have mountains out there.

Heh, Monday I was at a friend's house on the Southside of Denver and was told I should just move out there. I'll admit, the thought has definately crossed my mind...

Fuck yeah, I'd move west. To hell with this cold shit!

And I'm sorry about your situation, Sam. My love life is complicated as well, so I know where you're coming from.
It is better to move with someone you know, though. Makes the transition a little easier.

Does anyone know a good way to clean up wet carpet? (I need a cheap method, and I can't tear up the carpet nor take it outside)

My mother, who used to clean houses professionally for about 30 years says something like an extractor would work. These "extractors" can pick up water, like Shop-Vacs.

I was gonna suggest blow-drier, but that's a bad fire hazard...

Try and see if you have a Shop-Vac. That'll work.

Fun fact: only 3 posts at IndyDDR.com contain the word "boop."

Shop vac the ever living fuck out of it.

My lake house flooded last winter, and that's what I had to do.

Make sure it's only that can actually pick up water. Some of them can't, and if you use one of them, you will become a crispy critter.
