Arka:
All Klingons who develop code for the glory of the empire follow this "Code of Honour" for software "code warriors".
Specifications are for the weak and timid.
State-of-the-art hardware is a prerequisite to do battle with code.
One cannot truly appreciate "Dilbert" without reading it in the original Klingon.
Indentation is for enemy skulls, not code.
Klingons do not "release" software. Klingon software escapes, leaving a bloody trail of design engineers and quality assurance people in its path.
Klingon function calls have no parameters. They have arguments! And they always win them.
Klingons do not debug. Our software does not coddle the weak.
Quality Assurance issues are best solved with a Batleth.
A true Klingon warrior does not comment his code.
Our users shall know fear and cower before our software! Ship it! Ship it and let them flee like the dogs they are!

That hits pretty close to home. It would explain so much around here.

HAHAHA! I saw that yesterday. *Spoiler alert* They riced out a Buick, or some old ass car.
From the previews I saw, they had an old muscle car in the races. I didn't get a good enough look at it to tell what it was though.
But, this makes me weep...a car like that is way too good for a race like that. Assuming you've kept the old girl running all these years, she deserves to be pampered and appreciated, not torn up for some damn pop culture movie.
If it's a good car, I hope to god it's just a kit and not genuine. If it's a real muscle car, I'm gonna shoot the director in the face.

!!! Me and Merk are from Fort Wayne! ARE YOU SAYING ONLY ONE OF US IS YOUR FRIEND?!?!?!
=P
Haha, you know I love you both

We know this other guy named Raul that from Ft Wayne also though. lol. CUT THROAT FTW! lol.
Random thought today: Do you think that people will still be posting here in like 10 years? I actually could see myself at age 29 still posting here on IndyDDR. lol. I love mah peeps

I also hope that in ten years I will have at least one AAA, and hopefully I will have passed 10 footers. And hopefully in ten years I can AA 10 footers. lol. *sigh* oh the future...

I don't want to start my own thread with this question... but it's a situation I've been in recently. My employer has been leaving my paychecks (and stubs) out in the open and has had other employees give them to me. The stub has my SS#, my full name, my tax information, my hours worked in a week and YTD and my wage. And today he had my check just sitting between some books on his desk instead of having it in the safe which is where they're supposed to be... Where is there a law that specifically dictates payroll privacy? I am 99% sure that it is not legal for him to make me that vulnerable to identity theft.

I'm not sure exactly what organization you'd go to with questions like that, but you might try calling the employment office. If nothing else, they should know the answer, even if they wouldn't be able to help you. Once you get your facts straight, you can take it back to your employer. If he refuses to comply, well...there are always legal channels.

How big an organization is it? If it's sufficiently large, they'll usually have a section of HR devoted to handling boss-employee issues (including that kind of thing).
You have talked to him (VERY diplomatically), right? What is his response?

the FLSA are the 'big bad' people of payroll...you could request your employer to put your stub in a sealed envelope

I will mention that to him tomorrow when I go in... I think that may be a decent solution.

This is an independantly owned business very small it's only a summer job. I have talked to him about how I don't want random people giving me my paycheck, I will see next week if it happens again.

Are you talking about an employment office in general? because there is no specific employment office for his company.
//PS thanks for the responses

In general should be sufficient. Someone there should know the legalities of the payroll system, and be able to tell you if what your boss is doing is legal or otherwise.

Seconded.
And if you're still at Sara's, steal me some hash browns before you storm out with his bloody head on a stick. ^.^ <3

If Sara's made hash brownies, I would definitely be there more often.
And I'd definitely be a lot more broke as well.
