From the previews I saw, they had an old muscle car in the races. I didn't get a good enough look at it to tell what it was though.
But, this makes me weep...a car like that is way too good for a race like that. Assuming you've kept the old girl running all these years, she deserves to be pampered and appreciated, not torn up for some damn pop culture movie.

If it's a good car, I hope to god it's just a kit and not genuine. If it's a real muscle car, I'm gonna shoot the director in the face.

Random thought today: Do you think that people will still be posting here in like 10 years? I actually could see myself at age 29 still posting here on IndyDDR. lol. I don't want to start my own thread with this question... but it's a situation I've been in recently. My employer has been leaving my paychecks (and stubs) out in the open and has had other employees give them to me. The stub has my SS#, my full name, my tax information, my hours worked in a week and YTD and my wage. And today he had my check just sitting between some books on his desk instead of having it in the safe which is where they're supposed to be... Where is there a law that specifically dictates payroll privacy? I am 99% sure that it is not legal for him to make me that vulnerable to identity theft.

I'm not sure exactly what organization you'd go to with questions like that, but you might try calling the employment office. If nothing else, they should know the answer, even if they wouldn't be able to help you. Once you get your facts straight, you can take it back to your employer. If he refuses to comply, well...there are always legal channels.

How big an organization is it? If it's sufficiently large, they'll usually have a section of HR devoted to handling boss-employee issues (including that kind of thing).

You have talked to him (VERY diplomatically), right? What is his response?

the FLSA are the 'big bad' people of payroll...you could request your employer to put your stub in a sealed envelope

I will mention that to him tomorrow when I go in... I think that may be a decent solution.

This is an independantly owned business very small it's only a summer job. I have talked to him about how I don't want random people giving me my paycheck, I will see next week if it happens again.

Are you talking about an employment office in general? because there is no specific employment office for his company.

In general should be sufficient. Someone there should know the legalities of the payroll system, and be able to tell you if what your boss is doing is legal or otherwise.
