Re: Fantasy Footbaw 5: One hunnit dollars
Welp, I didn't expect a Colts win last night but God damn I wish they didn't lose the way they did. You can sort of tell that the gameplan for the Colts was "Defend Gronkowski and Edelmann, everything else will work itself out" and the Patriots did the exact opposite and ran the ball the entire God damn game and pushed the Colts' shit in. And now Ahmad Bradshaw and Dwayne Allen are hurt, Bradshaw is probably going to be out for the season with a broken ankle and everyone is staying mum on Allen's injury but he had to be carted off to the locker room which is never a good sign.
If the Colts can eek out 4 more wins I'll be happy and I'll win my gambling bets. The remaining schedule isn't too bad but who the fuck knows what's going to happen now with their run game, Richardson can't handle an O-Line that can't gift him a running lane and Boom Herron is an unknown rookie.
Anyway, remaining schedule is as follows:
vJAX -- Easiest game left. Jacksonville is bad and they're playing for draft picks at this point. This will be a much needed bounce back game from what just happened yesterday.
vWSH -- RG3 is not good and I am really, really glad the Colts didn't draft him over Luck. Colts will be defending the run every snap and I fully expect the Colts to win by 14+ points
@CLE -- No idea how this is going to go. On paper the Colts should win and I think in practice the Browns simply won't be able to keep up in the scoring department. Josh Gordon will be back for this game but I don't think he'll be a factor
vHOU -- Texans just cannot win in Indy for some reason. If Foster is inactive this game then I don't see how the Colts lose. The Colts game @HOU earlier this year was unnecessarily close due to the J.J. Watt fumble recovery on a for a touchdown on a broken handoff. I can't see that play happening twice.
@DAL -- With or without Romo the Colts still lose this game. DeMarco Murray is playing so good and the Colts' run defense is so bad that I can see this game being like the Arizona game from last year where the Colts were blown out by 30 points.
@TEN -- Colts may sit this one out if they have nothing to play for. Titans may sit this one out too if they're in the hunt for draft picks. If both teams are playing for keepsies then the Colts win easily

Sums up the Raiders.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.
Re: Fantasy Footbaw 5: One hunnit dollars
Mine too...especially Peyton. I didn't watch the game (of course). It says they won despite him scoring less than my defense. How?!

Yeah Denver stuck with the run game and all their touchdowns were scored by CJ Anderson which if you look you'll see that he had a really good fantaji footbaw day.
Riot I am sorry about your mans

Somehow I managed to win thanks to Julio Jones...who I apparently won't get to play next week due to an injury. Well, that sucks.
Happy playoffs, everybody!

Re: Fantasy Footbaw 5: One hunnit dollars
I guess this happened over the weekend:

Basically, the guy bet $15 and by some miracle all of his picks hit which means that that ticket is worth $45,000. I'm surprised he didn't tear up and throw his ticket away during halftime of the Falcons/Green Bay game last Monday since it was Falcons 7 / Green Bay 31 at the half.

My final fantasy footbaw season is over
BUT the Colts won their 10th game last Sunday which means that my sports betting was a great success this year! Yayyyyyyy what a nice way to cap off 2014.

Yay the Colts beat a heavily injured Bengals team and now we get to listen to "OMG MANNING VS. LUCK" for a week.
Colts have a legit shot at winning this Sunday though. Broncos have been playing like ass and as long as we can keep the turnovers down I think the Colts win handily.

I would have been better off playing my other Manning during our fantasy playoffs.Merk wrote:Broncos have been playing like ass

So should the Broncos re-name themselves to the Donkeys?Merk wrote:Yay the Colts beat a heavily injured Bengals team and now we get to listen to "OMG MANNING VS. LUCK" for a week.

Anyway, I think that even with Denver's recent trouble that the Colts are going to have a hard time. It's winnable for them, but it won't be easy. Manning has had mixed luck in the postseason of course, but he's got a lot of experience and arguably a better team surrounding him, though that comparison depends some on which Colts show up next Sunday.

Re: Fantasy Footbaw 5: One hunnit dollars
Yeah it's definitely going to be tough and I'm genuinely worried about our turnover situation. Our turnovers have been real bad in the post-season, I think if you include yesterday's game we've had 9 total turnovers in 4 of our post-season games with Luck & Co. and the Colts were lucky that all the dropped passes didn't result in turnovers and that our O-Line was able to recover Herron's second fumble. God damn, that's another thing, if we didn't drop so many passes yesterday the game would not have been as nearly as close as it was. I can understand some of the T.Y. Hilton's drops since those were tough throws to make but the God damn Coby Fleener drop in the first half was inexcusable.
If the Colts can stop CJ Anderson and if the secondary plays as well as it has been then I think the Colts can pull it off. The big x-factor is going to be Julius Thomas who had a great game against the Colts in week 1 but who has been injured the last few weeks; if he underperforms then I think the Colts can win the shoot-out.
Either way, if the Colts' season ends next Sunday then please for the love of God draft some O and D linemen -- the skill position players are solid but they are being bogged down by shitty play on the offensive/defensive fronts.
