why why why in God's name would they make Yun's Genei Jin a quarter circle BACK x2 super? This makes absolutely no sense in the slightest. They made GJ his super though so Capcom got one thing right at least! I would not be surprised in the slightest if Yang is better than Yun in this game, Yang sounds like he'll just work better in SF4 than Yun.

Dudley changes look alright at best. Making is Ducking EX-able sounds kind of like a waste of meter. If it allows you to go under fireballs and recover fast enough to do a s.HK -> EX-Maching Gun Blow though THAT would make it really awesome. Dudley can already punish fireballs really well though so, again, sounds like a waste until we see how it plays out. Making c.HK faster sounds pretty neat but I doubt it'll make a difference, it's one of those moves that should be telegraphed and blockable on reaction. I can see them making it slightly faster but not by much.

Changing the recovery on the rose throw though could prove to be really interesting. If they make it fast enough we could see a return of the amazing corner mix-up game that Dudley had in 3S. That would make him shoot up the tier list definitely.

Dudley is getting some buffs Merk, be happy. Some other buffs and nerfs to other characters, including slight nerfs to top tier, and relatively decent buffs for bottom midish tiers.

"• Akuma can apparently Shoryuken, Focus Attack Dash Cancel into his Ultra 2 now." This might actually make U2 not terrible now. But I love Raging Demon sooooo much =/ with U2 being trash it made it a no-brainer, which I liked. Don't like decisions! I mean look how amazing his U1 is, it has tons of crazy set ups: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPbYd_A6KfA&hd=1#t=4m33s Also some really good combos at the beginning of this video.

Sucks that I might have slower walk speed now though, and EX dragonpunch does less damage now =( Hopefully the U2 buff is enough to offset all the other nerfs.
Dun forget Tatsu. I don't think it matters as much for Askuma since he can teleport, but Ryu just got a lot less mobile.

Sounds like Guy may be the hotness.
Edit: No homo.

I don't really ever use the escape flying tatsu cross the screen, so as long as the good ol' cross-up tatsu still works I'm A-OK!

It's also important to note these are observations from unofficial sources about a location test (meaning these changes aren't permanent and are still undergoing testing). We'll see what sticks and what else changes. I also have a feeling a lot of people who are overreacting about stuff won't be able to really feel giant differences and some things are being overblown like they were for Super's release. I also feel like Ryu won't really get many changes... they base changes AROUND him I think and use him to balance other characters honestly.

And yeah Guy might be pretty good now; he's okay now if you can really practice his little juggles and combos, but a lot of his moves feel so floaty and leave you vulnerable. Merk, from what I gathered there was less recovery time on that EX dash thing so that you would be able to launch into combos easier to punish fireballs and the like. I dunno, I'm sure tons more stuff for each characters is gonna start leaking out now.

I love that the developers are still so involved in the game and continue to expand and perfect it way past the original incarnation.

Location test aside, I'm having a really hard time with Claw and Adon. I can't seem to find a good answer for Claw's little leap-throw/crossup attack. Same is true for Adon's dive kick.

The leapthrow, as with most of Vega's air stuff, can be countered with a well-timed crouching hard punch anti-air right? After Adon's divekick (are you talking about the full screen kick?), you should be able to throw after if you time it just right, or at least tech a throw and not take any damage. You can also just shoryuken him right out of it if you expect him to do it.

Can't you just focus absorb Vega's jumping claw bullshit?

Of course then you have to worry about his jumping throw but Vega doesn't really have much else going for him other than his jumping crap. Doesn't a shoryuken beat it cleanly?

not much better of people to watch than the best ryu and best akuma in the world to learn the matchup. some matches between Daigo and Tokido here if you wanna see how good Ryus play against good Akumas. that way we can translate it to our bad Ryus and bad Akumas.

a little somethin for the Merkster too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UfRUBpt ... r_embedded

videos and images of Yun and Yang now

http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/sep/ ... fighter-4/

a lot of new info coming out this weekend since there's a big gaming show in Japtown this week. Looks like they have beastly crossups and ultras... looking good so far! Lot of people hyping up Yang this time. Wish the people in the video knew how to play them... at half way through Yang does his super and his ultra and they look awesome.

In the top video with Yun vs. Guile he has an interesting fireball stopping handpump thing. Cool!

So I guess Yang is going to be awesome. He'll probably be my alternate after Dudree.

Or hell maybe he'll be my main, I don't know. Third Strike supremacy

yeah Yang looks pretty beastly. I love his ultra animation, plus the fact that it combos off FADC will make him pretty good. His strengths are crossups and offensive pressure, which are what really makes a character good too. Looking good!

Riot I'm going to invest in getting a stick after all these god damn years playing on a pad. Since this bullshit game revolves around pulling 1-frame links that are impossible to do consistently on a pad, I have to try my hand at plinking on a stick now. Where/how should I get one?
