Their new album, Rize Of The Fenix, isn't as good as their first album but it's worlds better than Pick Of Destiny. The band's at least self-aware that Pick of Destiny sucked barrs so that adds a level of humor to the skits/songs and ties into the theme of them coming back to the top of rock stardom after falling from grace. 'Roadie' and the 'Rize of the Phoenix' title track are probably my favorites and are on the same level as the stuff in their first album. Jack Black sort of lays on the "lol I'm Jack Black rawr rawr rawr" pretty thick which kind of gets annoying. It's free up on Spotify so it's worth a listen!

I thought PoD was better than their first. =/ Some pretty solid and catchy songs, and less of the talky tracks. Then again, it *was* tied to the movie...or vice versa?

PoD is basically a soundtrack to the film thus, it came after. Their first album is based off their brief sketch show on HBO back in the day, have you seen it? I liked it, it was pretty funny! Lots of adult humor.
