lol, I've got 2 handguns, a precision .223 rifle, and a permit to carry.
Actually I was looking forward to the firearm aspect of 21 far more
than the drinking/clubbing scene. I think I may buy a soviet Ak-47
next, and maybe a .357 snub nose revolver to carry when it gets hot
outside.
I don't actually kill people or anything, but I love target shooting.

Nah, the snubby .357 is strictly a self defense weapon. It's something small enough that I can carry it safely concealed, even wearing summer clothes. I'd only shoot with that at the range enough to get good with it, and to brush up on my accuracy every now and then.
You can shoot accurately with high powered rounds, you just have to know how to control it. There's only a split second you have to stabilize the gun before the bullet leaves the barrel, then you can adjust for the recoil without effecting your aim.

What throws people off the most about handguns is the subtle movement of the gun when you pull the trigger, not the recoil. A lot of people anticipate the recoil as well, and jerk their hand as soon as the pull the trigger. The recoil itself generally doesn't take full effect until the bullet is well out of the barrel.
