I'm sure the japanese weren't the first people to over steer. Even if they were the first to implement it widescale, they certainly weren't the first to do it.Silent_Blade wrote:*Shrugs* It just looks that way...I mean people are obsessed with anything/everything Japanese...It's just the current popular phase.hascoolnickname wrote:wtf who says it's popular because it's origins are japanese????

If you just never noticed Spazz's sig, then our good friends from urban dictionary can explain it.dancing queen iu wrote:What's drifting?Original Sin wrote:Heh, I can drift my volvo, and that bitch's got high traction tires on it.
lolololol
To cause a vehicle to slide or ‘drift’ laterally. It is caused by making a turn a speeds high enough to cause the tires (both front and rear, but the rear tires go first and the front don’t always go) to loose traction, allowing the car to slide laterally. It is possible in front, rear, and all wheel drive. Pulling the hand/emergency/parking break (three names for the same thing) at the apex of a turn will allow one to drift at lower speeds than if the rear wheels were allowed to spin freely. Also, drastically speeding up the rear wheels by revving the engine (therefore causing the rear wheels to spin faster than the car is moving forward) will allow one to drift more easily, this is only possible in rear wheel drive.
I thought you were the puggy know-it-all sort, it seems so unlike you to admit to not knowing something.

you obvisouly didnt get an actual drift (read - 4 wheel drift. long too) thats why its boring. doing 25 in a roundabout and geting the back wheels loosefor 3 seconds is far from drifting.Mosh_Mosh_Revolution wrote:I drifted around a corner once with Mexican Ninja.
It was f'lame (read: fuckin' lame).
But if that's how you have your fun, whatev.
