Yeah I would agree that she is lower middle.

+ Meh normals
+ No really easily done combos
+ Fairly shitty super
+ Very complex U1 and really hard to land U2
+ No lol invincible shoryu
+ Really unsafe specials

You never know, someone may find out how to use U1 to its fullest and she'll shoot up the tier list like Yun did in SF3.

Chad you can always pick up Rufus, he's pretty ching-chongy and he's much, much better than Juri.

I suppose you're right about Juri... her corner combos do require fireball reserves, and a lot of her moves are unsafe on block. But when they hit, they hit hard, and her EX pinwheel kick is really good as anti-air. But yeah I agree about her Ultras, I don't think they're that spectacular.

Rufus is actually really good and annoying to play against. His U2 is so pro, and his little short hopping dive kicks apply a ton of pressure that most people don't know what to do against.

Besides that if you're actually looking for the top characters that not everybody uses (aka Ryu):

-Rufus
-Abel (his new Ultra is amazing too)
-Balrog
-Guile (I think he is significantly better, and I usually have trouble against him...)
-C. Viper (she is hard to learn though)
-E. Honda
-Dhalsim

I do not understand the hype about Guile. You know what fucking beats Guile?

A throw.

You knock him down, get up next to him and take a step or two back (to get out of his throw range) and down-block. If he reversal flash kicks - you punish. If he walks forward - you uppercut. If he charges down back - you walk up and throw real fast. It is literally that easy. The best thing Guile can do in this situation is reversal sonic boom and then dash the fuck back but honestly no Guile on the internet would reversal sonic boom.

I don't know I guess I just suck, he always pressures me with his little sonic boom > crouching punch > crouching punch string or something. I tend to jump way too often for my own good too, which is bad.

Chad I am genuinely sorry that Juri hasn't really worked out for you thus far and I understand your frustration. If it's any consolation I really wanted Alex and Necro to be really good in 3rd Strike but they're doomed to be average one/two trick ponies.

Like I said last night try to pick up another character and try to find a few solid things with them:

+ A crossup
+ A punish combo
+ A block string
+ A way to combo into Ultra. For some characters you have to learn how to FADC in order to do this unfortunately
+ A long and close poke. If you can find a combo off either poke then that's just gravy! Dudley's c.lk can combo into s.mp -> lp shoryu -> hp shoryu and is very baller

That should be enough to make a solid character

Mr. Cantrell, why do you not have SSF4? Can you get a sweet employee discount at the ol' Gamestop?

You are wrong, it's not random once you get used to the game. It then becomes normal and you get accustomed to it and adapt. Submit.

Let's go to that Tilt arcade place and play some gringos.

Oh my gosh color me excited. I might be coming down this weekend because Meg has to be in Bloomington for a convention. Therefore I may scuttle up to Indy and hopefully check out Tilt if any of you guys are interested, or we can just hang around someone's place and be merry. Chad never responded to my text so I assume that he is upset with me for marrying another woman. Also Merk you have to get your crap out of my apartment soon, I gotta move sometime within the next two or three weeks.

and speaking of ssf4, this guy always churns out some crazy combo videos (towards the end there are some crazy 40-70 hit combos): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PvhMIDW ... r_embedded this is his 4th, check em out

Yeah I'm going to get my crap out this weekend when you're down there. You see I don't have a key any more so I'm dependent on you being there.

YES WELL I will most likely be there, but I will let you know. I would like to hear from Chad Wagner about his weekend plans for frivolities. If such a provocation proves successful, mayhaps there will be a street fight (or a crashed castle, CHAD?!).
