if you could only purchase one game which would it be? I'm contemplating picking up a psp tonight and am unsure what game to get.

I would either get Lumines or Ridge Racer.

Lumines is one of those games that is just so simple, but freakin awesome. I also hurd that it was one of the highest rated PSP launch titles, so I'm not the only one who agrees. And the music is awesome.

Ridge Racer is hella fun. I don't even like racing games, but I was pretty hooked on its easy to pick up drift system, and truly awesome graphics. The music on this game isn't half bad either.

Also, both are 40 bucks. Just thought you needed to know.

picked up a psp & lumines...wow...impressive hardware. I must get a usb cable to play music.


4 dead pixles IN A ROW on the screen. I complained and the fucking asshole clerk was like "WE DO NOT ALLOW RETURNS ON DEAD PIXELS!" which pissed me off to no end so I said in a very stern voice (near screaming I was enraged) "IF I HAD KNOWN YOU GUYS WERE GOING TO BE SUCH TIGHTWADS ABOUT SATISFACTION I WOULD'VE BOUGHT THE ITEM ELSEWHERE!" and then she offered an exchange. BUT! She couldn't figure it out on the computer. So now I have to go back again tomorrow to "discuss" this with the manager (i.e have him blow me off) but too bad they forgot to give me back the case for my psp. I will not keep this piece of fucking garbage.

you shoulda asked to test it. Thats what I did you even read all the warnings about the Dead Pixels....

if I didn't post it, I beat ridge Racer

edit: I also started messing with video editing and putting MP4's on my PSP. Its not that hard actually, and the compression is insane.

i didn't think it'd be this big of a nightmare to return the system! i bought it from this specific store because i had shopped there since as long as I can remember...back in the day, they had 3 x86s on display to play games on because consoles weren't popular (nes days). I *never* once had a problem returning something to them. I get to go in a hour to go complain. I will post back with results.

cant you send it to sony? it should be under warranty

i talked to the manager and got a new one he didn't even bother questioning me...i guess he was preinformed...he also swapped lumines for ridge racer thinking that'd help me want to shop there ever again....i'm not....boycott gamestop!

also new one has no noticable dead pixels and i was told if i am upset with this one i had to go to sony...hah

i *never* had a problem with the staff when it was software etc. I've been an avid customer since they sold mostly PC wares and the logo had the 5 1/4" disk logo. One of their employees trained my mom and I how to use a comp..The managers mostly knew me on a first name basis and let me exchanges shit all the time. This was *the first* time I've ever had trouble.
