Literally die? That's sort of dark.Merk wrote:I often wonder if this site will ever die.
Who does everyone think is going to be the first real ass IndyDDR poster to die?

Don't talk about that so lightly. It already happened.

I do remember Chad telling me about Jay back in the day. Apparently he was really into cars and was a great driver, it sucks that he got killed by *I believe* a drunk driver.

For the record I think I'm going to die first although Jim and Brian have some years on us. I imagine Jim eats healthy and I'm sure Brian has good genes. I am dying sometime between 55-60

It sucks. He and I went to hear drum n' bass together outside of just playing DDR.Merk wrote:I do remember Chad telling me about Jay back in the day. Apparently he was really into cars and was a great driver, it sucks that he got killed by *I believe* a drunk driver.

If you can't face your own mortality, how can you say you truly lived?

So sick of Happy Haron, Elitist Eel, Epic Scissors, Too-cool Cola, and every other goddamn adjective-noun picture.

What kind of simple stuff should I do to help ready the machine for when you guys come? Mainly, is there anything specific I should use to clean it? Windex and paper towels? The pads look a little grimy and the monitor area could be wiped down and stuff.
Also, as I was already telling Chad, the screws that keep the bar brackets in on the backs of the pads are pretty rusty. When I tried to get one out a tiny bit, I felt like I was stripping the screw. Any tips that might have worked for others in the past besides trying again with a hammer to drive in the screwdriver a bit and trying a different size? It's out in the garage so I figure I should do my best to clean it all the way up before bringing it inside. If I just plug in the plug in the back and try to hit the on switch inside the coin door, will everything boot up enough to tell the monitor is working?

Do you have a screwdriver? Preferably a power screwdriver.
Use Windex. Just don't use Pledge.
If you need to replace a sensor then please note that you only need to remove 3 of the corner brackets on a arrow. Don't pull a me and Chad and wait 9 months to swap out the sensors because we think there is some magical way of removing a stripped to fuck screw.
