Of course there are stupid tests, that's the problem. Most people answer those questions the way they want to be viewed. They lie to themselves and can't even answer questions truthfully, so if they end up with someone who DID (which is unlikely) they will still revert back to how they really are. You're still dealing with a pile of lies, and now...assumptions.

There's at least something to be said for matching on ideally perceived values than no values at all. As an example, I'd be more inclined to want to spend time with someone who believes they are artistic than someone who believes they are not.

What about someone who believes they are autistic, like me?

Cancel the guest bed.

Chad, you're right, people should be required to post videos of themselves on dating sites

Looks fake, but the idea is that you can't lie nearly as well in a video.

Merk and Riot hate anime so much, but gush about JRPG, fighting games, and Final Fantasy cut scenes. Deep down they are the biggest anime fans of all, but don't want to admit it to themselves.

Nah I've always said I don't mind the style of anime (I like some of the art unless it's all kiddie looking), it's always just the absolutely terrible writing and voicing that makes me embarrassed to watch it. At least in games there is fun gameplay to be had that outweighs the obnoxious squealing voice actors who have to huff and puff during every battle scene or something. That's why I like Mass Effect games; they have really good writing and voice acting so I don't feel like I'd have to explain myself if someone who doesn't play videogames comes in and sees me playing it. If someone caught me playing Blue Dragon and heard Marumaro I'd have to defend my adulthood.

At least with a game like that it had a fun job system to balance out the embarrassment. With anime, it's pretty much pure embarrassment most of the time.

Ok so Riot admits he likes Japanese Manga and Animation. Merk needs to come clean too. Let's look at the facts:
- Merk really likes Drummania and IIDX because they have Anime movies and characters.
- Merk is going to one of the nation's biggest Anime cons in just a few weeks.
- Merk really likes fighting game animations and regularly mimics them in real life. (See below)

- Merk has seen and reported enjoying Cowboy Bebop.
- Merk is more vocal about hating anime than anyone else I know.
Think about it. If I hated something, like the show Glee as an example, I would NEVER EVER go to Glee-Con. Merk is paying money to go to Acen under the guise of J-Core (aka anime hardcore) and booze (which I have plenty of at home.)

The hater has clear evidence that he is a member of the hated group but is in denial. He refuses to identify with said group and often comes up with convoluted explanations as to why he isn't actually a member.
Embrace it, Merk. Embrace it and one day you will find love like Riot and Megu. (See below)

Dude Merk likes anime way more than me obv. You wouldn't go near an anime convention if you truly couldn't stand animuuu.
In 3rd grade Merk gelled his hair into spikes and got a little wooden sword and went as Crono for Halloween.

Merk, make an OKC search for the words scene, tattoo, and anime and you will fall into mad crushing on the spot.
