The way I use Facebook is use half my name, only reply to people, use the chat, and never do much else unless something people actually need to know about happens.
Right now it's been useful for meeting some of the other accepted students at my year at Digipen. Of course I set up an IRC to talk to the ones who weren't completely horrible people anyways so, yeah. But I needed it to find them!
Also posting anything regarding Taiwan and getting like 60 likes from random people I probably just saw once is kinda' neat.

Also, what do I do when my American CS IIDX controller has a few keys that occasionally stick? It's not too horrible, but it's prevalent enough to sometimes do it multiple times during a song. It's button 4 and 6 that are sticking. Amusingly one of the buttons stuck on a charge note once and hit it where I would otherwise miss it. I was hoping this wouldn't happen and heard the American CS stick less. :(

Some hipsters made fun of me for not knowing who mewithoutyou was. Am I really that out of the loop, or do you have to be an ultra hipster to have heard of them?

I also accidentally read their name as mew without you.

Ask them to name the members of that band, one of their songs that isn't a single, and their favorite album. If they have to look at their iPhone call them a bunch of hipster posers and that they're only in the scene for the sweet, sweet hipster pussy.

If they can answer without looking at their iPhone then you got owned sorry bwo :(

I wasn't claiming to know jack shit about them. Someone on FB invited me to their Indy show and I made a comment about how I've never heard of them but they look like hipsters.

Fuck. You know what upsets me?

Remember that skinny, sorta buff, long blonde-hair surfer look that was all the rage around 2003-2007?

Image

The guy in the red shirt is a good example of this ^^^

You see it was awesome because I could pull off that look and the ladies would swoon over it and my attractiveness was contemporary. I was at least a solid 7 during the looks' heyday on my worst days.

But now it's all about flannel, being tall, and having a grungy-ass beard. God fucking damn it I can do none of those things so I am pigeon-holed into being old fashioned. If I were to go back to shin-Merk the best I can absolutely do right now is a low-end 7 with the majority of my time being spent as a solid 6.

I mean, I'm happy as myself and the way my looks are finally beginning to shape back up but I'm having second thoughts that all this effort is going to end up being wasted though because my best beard is face pubes.

This is probably mewithoutyou's most known song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtxxGnOoctw.

They were more popular (at least I think) when we were in high school and Myspace was a new thing. Yes, they're completely indie hipster dudes. Quasi-Christian rock.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

Anyways it's hard to make fun of "indie hipster dudes" because I like what a lot of people would consider "indie hipster" bands.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYtAHZ6p3M8 - One of my favorites, especially the second half. Love this one too... great lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC7nT8Eh5n0

Another great band that is super quirky and macabre, so I guess most people would consider them hipster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovmITcaVeJ0

But then again, most people misuse and mislabel most things that aren't mainstream as hipster nowadays. The word is tossed around so much that it's lost its meaning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s017CY0Y ... re=related Playing on trains is liek so hipsterrrrr

Those guys are decidedly hipsters. I can make a long list of things that aren't mainstream and are clearly not hipster.

In fact, "But then again, most people misuse and mislabel most things that aren't mainstream as hipster nowadays. The word is tossed around so much that it's lost its meaning" sounds a little bit like what a hipster would say.

I like trolling people in online videogames. I feel like this is one of the trolliest songs in a game lately: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Dgu6lCPpWU

The best trolly videogame song though is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbanBAitWgM
