I'm not sure if his ultimate point hit really hard, but that was really cool.

I need suggestions for iconic or cool music videos to show do students about ready to make music video project. Obviously they have to be appropriate for 12 and 13 year olds. I think the video for Slam by pendulum would be fun but I don't know, it might be pushing it slightly. so any ideas for really cool music videos or maybe iconic/important ones?

Yeah these are the videos I've downloaded so far as examples of creativity, audio/video sync, editing, etc.:
Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice
A-Ha - Take on Me
Venetian Snares - Szamar Madar
Pendulum - Slam
OK Go - Here it Goes Again
Junior Senior - Move your Feet
Radiohead - Just (maybe a little bit too heavy for them)

Ooo. Good call on Junior Senior and A-ha. Might have to call it at A-ha right now. Timeless.
A few others come to mind:
Beastie Boys - Sabotage (I just think it's funny)
The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist (Just the right amount of out-there, but lyrics might be a no-no for a classroom)
Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar *or* Daft Punk - Around the World (They both do that whole objects acting as instruments)
Modest Mouse - Float On
Trapped in the Closet (All of it) <---- that.
Don't pick OK Go. Everyone has already seen it, and there isn't much merit beyond the (impressive) choreography.

yes, all of these but the first two are animated and have zero application in a classroom teaching how to physically shoot something. but nonetheless! dat rutterfordddd
