I need to get a PS2 -> USB adapter for my USKOC. Or I could actually play BMUS first.

Have you played the Japanese console games? I'd start with those first since you won't have to go through the hassle of setting up a computer to run BEET and you won't have to dick around with timings and whatnot to fix the lag you will absolutely 100% have. The console games just plain work and if you have a CRT TV the timing will be great.

FWIW, a TV having a CRT by no means guarantees a lag-free experience. Late in the CRT era, a lot of 1080i CRT sets were made that were pure "price point" garbage. They used laggy digital scalers to upscale everything since they lacked multi-sync deflection circuitry. You might remember Putt Putt in Ft. Wayne had such a TV on their IIDX machine for a little while before it was sold.

If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

I can confirm this as true as I went out of my way to get a low latency CRT HDTV in 2005. (It still works beautifully, but I may have to retire it soon.)

Guys, just play console IIDX on a shitty $100 CRT. Hell I'd play bootleg BEET on a CRT if I knew how. I swear to goodness the TV I play on now has weird drifting lag where it will get slightly too fast or lightly behind but I could just be bad at the game now.

Find yourself a Sony GDM-FW900 or similar. 24" 16:9 Trinitron PC monitor. They're extremely capable and zero lag with a full analog video path.

MonMotha do you have a recommendation for a monitor to use for bootleg BEET? You know, like a non-CRT flat screen TV.

If you're looking for a low-/zero-lag, inexpensive, LCD PC monitor or TV, no. I don't know of any off-hand.

I would mention that I will be retiring my HDTV this year, but I should warn you that it's 150 lbs so it's one of those situations where I doubt anybody would want it due to the size.

Can I hook up a laptop to it and play BEET?

I offered you my 230 lb. one. It is inexplicably still sitting in my basement. :P

Mine? No, not easily. It would be fantastic for console IIDX though.

My HDTV does have an HDMI output so it will accept that output. Do be warned though that you will have to compensate for the overscan appropriately.

I looks like one of the little L-brackets inside my 1P right arrow is sticking like a mofo and I'm not sure how to fix it. I took the sensor out so that I could make my cabinet playable but now I am short a sensor and to make matters worse it's the left-most sensor so it gets used the most.

Isn't there like a little index card trick I can do to get it to stop sticking?
