Indianapolis or Carmel Extreme machines?

(Hello again everyone!)

Anyone know of the best machines in Indy? I'm in Carmel now and have a wild itch to play Extreme again.

Also, I have a hard time believing this list is up to date:

Without looking, I wouldn't expect DDR Freak's locations to be up-to-date either. I think you're much better off checking the Zenius-I-Vanisher directory at http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcades.php

If you're looking for Extreme specifically, I don't think you're going to find it anywhere in Indianapolis or the immediate vicinity (e.g. Carmel, Noblesville, Greenwood, etc.) at any public facility. You might find some SuperNOVA 1 or 2 or DDR X, but that's probably all you're gonna get in the way of DDR.

For the record, Tilt (formerly Gameworks) currently only has an X and a PIU NX. The SN2 has been broken for months.

I work downtown and can confirm that the gameworks X cabinet is for all intents and purposes unplayable (In other words, a typical X cabinet sadly) due to poor sensors and an arcade tech that Ho can tell you a horror story or two about. Offhand the only Extreme I've played on in Indiana in a public setting since 2013 is a bootleg Extreme Plus in the Mishawaka area. I have considered buying a cabinet for DDR like I did for Pump, but if I did it would have to be after I have my house finalized.

You know, this brings up a good point, is there even a standard run-of-the-mill Extreme cabinet in an arcade *anywhere* in Indiana?

I think Lazerlite in Bloomington might legitimately be the only Extreme left. Fort Wayne doesn't have one, Indy doesn't have one that I'm aware of, and I know basically nothing about Evansville and New Albany.

It's times like this where I have debated doing pump gatherings at my place if I can ever get some of the weirder issues fixed on my cabinet. I don't know if such an idea would be feasible or practical though.

I think there is actually an Extreme at the Glenbrook mall in Fort Wayne. I remember seeing it there maybe 3 years ago, I wonder if it is still there!

I also added a few arcades I know exist but don't necessarily have any rhythm games. They probably don't, but ZIv is technically a general arcade database now.

It's weird to think how EXTREME is virtually eliminated from the entire state at this point. It used to be everywhere.

It's also 12 years old. I know; that's difficult to believe. I think the reason is mostly that DDR is essentially gone from the area. The few that are left are mostly running something newer. Even Supernova is almost a decade old, at this point, after all.

X2 will be turning 5 in July (even though the US got it in December of 2010). We don't even have one of those.

I thought Tilt upgraded to X2? Regardless, they had X-something at last check, and it was up and running unlike many of their other games.

Whether you want to play it is another matter.
