Weight loss challenge 2: Fatastrophe
So here's how the next contest works. Instead of competing against one another, you'll be holding yourself accountable to a goal that you set. The holidays are right around the corner, and there's no more important time to show some discipline than now. Don't wait until new years to have a resolution.
Rules
1. Weigh yourself. Make note of that weight.
2. Pick a challenging and reasonable weight you would like to be by January 15th. This should be something well within your reach, but challenging enough to take some effort.
3. Bet the house (me) $5 that you can hit your goal. It is important that you actually relinquish the $5 to the house.
4. January 15th, weigh yourself. Depending on your weight, you can get one of three results.
- Met or surpassed goal set in step 2: Get $10, double your money and buy new jeans for that sexy booty.
- Did not meet goal, but did manage to lost some weight, or maintain current weight: You made it though the most difficult time of year to moderate food intake and that's something. Get your $5 back knowing you earned it.
- Gained weight: Lose the bet. Do not pass go. Do not collect money.
Obviously I'll make exceptions for medical emergencies and the like. People like Dave101 and SDP are probably trying to bulk up, so this contest might not be suited for them. The rest of us are not statuesque and could stand to shed extra weight.

I've been doing more research on the "paleo diet" (I know, I know) but I'm in. I need to drop 4 more lbs to meet my goal; January sounds realistic for me.

Man Drummania is an awesome game and I wish it got more love around these parts.
Really I just wish an arcade had a DM machine (RIP Westside) because I feel like it's the type of game randos could get into a la DDR.

Well, I started this year at 192 lbs and last Saturday I was 187.2 lbs.
The last seven days I've been working out for almost 2 hours, so I'm getting back on track with my diet.
Getting back to weight loss stuff, heh.
Oh wait, the challenge is over. Oh well, New Years Weight Loss Challenge 3 then!
