I have met those people too and they are bad at the game! Not a single player who can achieve a semblance of a good score does so playing without speed mods on a regular basis. Not saying it's impossible, it's just takes longer. There's no reason to handicap yourself in games like these since there's no edge you get by playing with less than ideal mods. If you're boners for Oni courses then maybe there's a benefit to playing songs on 1x but if you're just trying to get AAAs then play however you'd like!

Ummm, well the more appropriate term is a Game Boy Color virtualization because only a FUCKING IDIOT would run an inferior quasi-diploid based schemata that the dumb fucking idiots at Nintendon't developed during Hasimoto's tenure as lead developer on current generation emulation platforms. You see, the multi-threaded processes of current x86 hardware can't properly emulate liquid crystal displays due to an oversight that the billionaires at Intel swept under the rug because they aren't true gamer purists like me and they consider shaders that operate at 95% capacity of the original hardware as "tolerable" collateral damage. Fucking cunts. Really I find their lack of integrity as unacceptable and I will from here on out be boycotting all electronics in the world until this injustice is remedied, Yoshihiko Ono is no longer lead producer of this project, and reparations for my wasted time on this drivel are paid.

I tried out some of those DDR games. If anyone can pass My Summer Love, I'd be impressed. I got slaughtered.
Games that are designed specifically for the Game Boy Color are housed in clear-colored cartridges, and will not function in an earlier Game Boy or the Super Game Boy (or will simply display a warning message and refuse to play). Games that are designed for the Game Boy Color, but which also include backwards-compatibility with the previous Game Boy systems, have a similar design to the original grey Game Boy cartridges, but are colored black for identification.
I figured GBC was just a GB that could add horrible looking color to new or existing games. GB was a crappy portable system anyway.

That scene in Breaking Bad SE5 EP4 with the dubstep Rob Swire track and the cars was stupid. Low point of the show.

Edit: End was good though.

In Episode 60 of Rugrats "Angelica's Worst Nightmare / The Mega Diaper Babies" Angelica is imagines she's a big robot. Once defeated, she does the usual robot death sequence complete with shutdown noises. These, for some reason, include the door open and door close samples used in the game Doom. I've also heard the Doom Demons noises, namely the death noise, used in movies with goats.

Do you guys ever hear old videogame sounds in movies/tv?

Occasionally yes, but I cannot think of any examples right now.

Oh, wait, yeah I can. In My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic you can hear the sound effect of some metal sounds from Source Engine games (like if you hit a metal wall with a crowbar in HL2). It's in S1E18: The Show Stoppers.

I'm pretty sure it's a stock sound so that's why you sometimes hear similar sounds in a lot of different media. Fuck the Wilhelm scream, though. That shit isn't clever, funny, thoughtful, or smart. It's just stupid.

People on Facebook piss me off so much. Someone will post some completely out of context political activist tripe, and hundreds of thousands of people just can't help but share it without doing as much research as a Google search to fact check.
