I think you might be able to set an option that displays a different number of posts per page so even if that post did end up being the first one on page 666 for the default setting it wouldn't necessarily be so for everyone.

Or I could be wrong lolollololololololololol

EDIT: kekeke first post on page 666 fuck y'all I win close thread.

Oh shit what if he's blind?

If he's blind, I take back what I said.

EDIT: Ok I'm a huge asshole.
I can speak Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit and Moroccan. But I can’t read what’s on my computer screen.
Being blind online means I have to listen to all the text -- including ads. That’s one of the reasons I rely on Wikipedia so much. It doesn’t waste my time by making me sit through advertising like almost every other website.
I'm sorry I called him a jerk.

EDIT EDIT: I donated $5 because I made fun of a blind man. I have bought absolution.

That's some old school Geoffrey Chaucer-era Catholicism Pardoner shit right there.

Give Wikipedia some money and all your sins will be forgiven.

Does anyone have any experience with those Roku media players? It would be a gift for my tech-stupid family. They aren't interested in a 360 or PS3, and they can barely use Windows.

What do those things do? Let you stream from your PC? Obviously if your family is computer illiterate that feature is going to wind up pretty useless.

Is this just a fancy cable box? Do you get a shload of channels just right out of the box? I'm not sure how you can get 350+ channels on this thing if you don't pay some sort of subscription.

It works, as I understand, much in the same way you can stream content on a 360. You purchase a subscription to Netflix, Hulu+, HBO, whatever, and use the Roku device to stream that content. No PC required. Their most expensive product is $100, so the price isn't too unreasonable.

Man oh man. How do you guys deal with attention needy people? The sort of person that always needs to be in the spot light. Everyone is a little boastful and we all love to tell stories, but some people do it way beyond what I would call a normal amount.

Part of me wants to be combative and call out lies/exaggerations. Part of me just wants to walk away. Part of me wants to say, "I really don't care."

It is so super annoying to me, and often leaves me thinking about it hours after the fact. Is anyone else as put off as I am? How do you deal with these people in social/work situations?

Edit: To clarify attention needy, I mean the people that require everything be about them all the time. Like everyone else in the world is a size 2 font footnote in their epic autobiography.

This is exactly what I mean. Some folks have to be the center of attention all the damn time. Drives me crrrrrrrrzy.

It wasn't, there are some pretty bad skits on SNL these days. The last couple seasons of the show haven't been too bad but the writers and actors have a lot of work to do before they get back to the level they were at during the late nineties. 2000-2005 was really bad, 2005-2010 was mediocre towards the end, and right now things are okay. Kristen Wiig is not funny and any skit that features her as the funny man tends to be pretty annoying.

Keenan is good
Bill Hader is good
The other black guy is good
The middle eastern chick is there for looks
Andy Sandberg is Jewish and just makes weird faces so he fits my style of humor
Everyone else is "good enough"
Weekend Update isn't terrible
Stefon is awesome
Don Pardo is still on this fucking show (his son is in his 70s according to Wiki)

SNL is OK. I like it better now than in the mid-2000s.

A Tier
-----
Andy Samberg

B+ Tier
------
Bill Hader

B Tier
------
Fred Armisen
Seth Meyers
Jason Sudeikis

C Tier
-----
Bobby Moynihan

The rest are D or lower.

The rest of the cast is meh. Let's get some funny ladies on the show, naw mean?

I'm going to make fun of IndyDDR superstars Facebook personas:

Potter: "[weird obscure thing or monosyllable word followed by a youtube of a racecar or a cacophonic mess]"

Fluffy: "chad is attending ~DJ Ub3rmensch presents: Noisecon Live @ The Jerkmag~ on Thursday"

Riot: "ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME marvel vs capcom ME ME ME ME ME ME paragraph paragraph paragraph ME ME ME"

MonMotha: "[insert inside joke or complaint about something technical or observation about something nonsensical]"

SoDeepPolaris: "Yeah I like working out. Go Ducks!"

Merk: "sports sports sports TIM TEBOW wigger wigger [rap lyric] GIVE ME ATTENTION" *only gets one comment*

Ho: "blah blah blah KOREA blah blah blah BECAUSE YOU SEE IN IGNORANT AMERICA blah blah blah" *checks in to Foursquare* *gets 100 likes and comments on every status*

dr88: "한국어/조선말"

WhiteDragon: "Hey everybody have you heard about my car? It's a Miata. A Mazda Miata."

Now it's everyone's turn to make fun of me.
