Dallas? SALADRe: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Merk is breaking up with me?!?!?!
I managed to get some play in tonight. I played last week's song and, after several attempts in the 40s, managed a 23. For this week's song, I got a 16. For the record (because I'm sure Adrian would like to know), I was playing on SuperNOVA2.

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Merk is breaking up with me?!?!?!
I played again tonight. I was actually playing pretty poorly for the most part except that I had one good run each on this week's and last week's song. Every other time I played, I was getting twice or even three times as many greats as Tuesday night (early Wednesday morning).
Here were my results: I guess I actually had two good runs on Cutie Chaser. I had 13 Greats and one non-combo (I think it was a Good) on the play right before this one. I gave it one more try and managed to convert that non-combo.
This one broke my soul a little and reminded me why I usually don't play for score. I could tell I was having a really good run and then somewhere in the last quarter of the song or so I just missed a step. Like, I felt the front of my foot hit the panel and my heel hit metal. And then I saw that arrow go by. It was disappointing to be sure. I gave it another go right after, but I didn't have the same luck I did with Cutie Chaser and decided to just give up for the night.
In summary, 12 on Cutie Chaser and 12 +1 non-combo on Still In My Heart Momo.

Alright so I was able to play a little bit at Chad's on Saturday. GXS was inexplicably closed on Friday afternoon when I went to play so whatevs!
I was able to eek out 8 greats on Cutie Chaser and I officially suck ass at Still In My Heart ~Momo~ with my best being 21 greats. I will update the OP accordingly and we will pick a new song! Great job to Brian who actually won this (last) week.

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Let's pick a song for week 17!
Wha? I won one? OMGWTFBBQ?!
I suggested Doll a couple weeks back but deferred to Adrian's pick of Still In My Heart ~Momo~. Anyone have any objections to picking up Doll this week? (I can't remember why I wanted to do it now, so I won't put up a fight if you do have an objection.)

I just looked at the charts for each...and now I really don't know why I wanted to do this song.
Let's go ahead with the Heavy/Expert. I have a feeling I will be cursing at my machine for dropping freezes.

I originally had "euphemism" in there instead of allegory but then the title wouldn't fit so I figured allegory would get the point across.
Regardless, I think the word allegory fits just enough to be both sound and proper. BUT HEY YOU'RE TEACHING ENGLISH SO YEAH MAYBE YOU'RE CORRECT.

Does Oregon really not have a lot of DDR machines? It seems like Indiana has a shit load of them in every city that isn't some tiny little township.
Anyway, I've been playing like shit today and yesterday. The best I was able to muster on this week's song was 16 greats. I used to be able to SDG this shit on a whim.

We have one in my city and it's not worth touching if you have any interest in scores.Merk wrote:Does Oregon really not have a lot of DDR machines? It seems like Indiana has a shit load of them in every city that isn't some tiny little township.
