No. That's 10 greats, not 1.

On x1 I got 16,3,1,3. I bollocks up the second 16th note run near the end every time.
This is why I am confused. You see, I assume that meant four attempts with the number of greats being 16, 3, 1, 3.

But now I think you meant that you got 16 greats with 7 non-combo steps. I assume everyone full combos song all the time since it's not too difficult in DDR.

Ah, yes. That was 7 non-combo steps because, like I said, I bollocksed up the second 16th note run. I had other runs where I had fewer non-combo steps there but I also had fewer perfects as well. That run is pretty hard at x1. It just looks like a blob...and I barely get it right on x2 to begin with.

Apparently Brian gives Merk shots now? I don't get it.

In other news, I got 11 on MSL 3x. I really suck at this song.

This is Merk posting from Chad's account at Chad's house.

I was able to get 5 greats on MSL as well which makes us tied at the moment. TWO MORE DAYS LEFT.

Congrats to Jason on the AAA but we all knew you were better than us at dancing games.

No one ever believes it for DDR, though

Well you see Jason, our initial impression of you is that you're great at Pump but as a consequence of that your PA is abysmal which, for a time, was indeed the case. However, with Pump Pro actually requiring the player to put some effort in to timing you've overcome your shortcomings and have proven to us, albeit many years after the fact, that you have rhythm. Some of us live in the past though where Mr. Dread can't PA.

Anyway, whew! What a week! Unless Chad played the song sometime on Sunday then this week mawkishly comes to a close. With neither player trumping the other, we'll officially close My Summer Love with an uneventful tie. Perhaps this is a metaphor that, in love, Fluffy and I equally epitomize unrequited love and its resulting cynicism. In any event here's a recap for the week:

- Brian is designated our song picker and cleverly suggests My Summer Love
- Brian proceeds to get 10 greats on the song
- Chad attempts the song several times and gets 5 greats
- Jason Dread shows up out of left field and gets a AAA. Congratulations!
- Katy gets 4 greats, proving once again that Chad and I have lost our touch
- I get bombarded with having to move everyone's shit around (it's moving season here in B-Town) so I can't find time to play
- After four attempts at Chad's house I end up with a stunningly meager 5 greats.
- Amp is no where to be seen
- No one can confidently play the song with no speed mods

Since we ended in a tie, the proposition bet results in a push (no money is lost or won). I'll update the OP.

With that being said, the floor is open for song suggestions! If we were playing on Extreme I'd recommend "Living in America" due to the holiday but hey, Supernova is a terrible mix so we're stuck with what we got.

Wait...wha? The windows are huge in Pro...like, big enough to throw your fat ass through. ;)

I'll try to get SuperNOVA(2) reinstalled in my machine after I get back from USPF next week. Until then, I do appreciate a song selection that can be found on 3rd-Extreme.

Yeah the timing window is Merk-sized but it's more like ITG than Pump. You have to put some effort into timing in ITG whereas in Pump you can slop through everything and get a FPC.

The superb window in Pro is much tighter than a DDR perfect. I'd love to see a list of all timing windows (in ms) for all rhythm games. With that kind of data, we could see which countries appreciate accuracy as a measure of judging a video game.

I can tell you right now from all the Pump talk that Korea literally gives no shits about timing. Japan cares the most about accuracy. America is somewhere in the middle.

But anyway let's get a song picked.
