Saturday round-up
Guys, I wasn't at DAT9 on Saturday since I had to get ready for a wedding. Can anyone write up a run down on what I missed on Saturday?
Drama?
Different games?
Donations?
Did V show up?
Is Amp still offended that I called Pop'n "mad gay"?

Re: Saturday round-up
Oh. Could you elaborate? Outside of "Did V show up?" I was hoping for more than just a yes/no.
D... Did anyone miss me? I am very vain and what other people think of me is very important.

But seriously...
This was probably one of the most laid back DDR-A-Thons ever. If there was drama, I didn't see it.
I guess Tim did put The Final into the beatmania machine. So I guess that was a different game on Saturday. Otherwise, nothing changed.
There were indeed donations. Our final total exceeded $2000 for the two-day event.
V showed up. She is cute, as always.
I was not aware of you calling pop'n mad gay nor Amp's reaction to it. Therefore, I have no comment on the matter.

Re: Saturday round-up
Is the final count still below $2,500? If so then Chad owes me a dollar. You owe me a dollar as well, Mr. Ho.
What did people do after the event on Saturday? What is everyone's reflection on the event? Would it be worth pursuing the same location next year? Are we doing anything special for the great milestone that will be DDR-A-Thon X?

Re: Saturday round-up
That's correct; we are.
Re: Saturday round-up
I will donate your dollar to Riley.
After the event we had a small awards ceremony with the few people left and then some of us went back to my place.
I would like to do this again next year. Tilt/Circle Centre is great! I think I would consider a different date though. I think the Memorial Day weekend caused more issues (mostly traffic and parking) than it added to donation totals. I haven't really spent enough time at Circle Centre (outside of Tilt) to know if mall traffic was substantially different from a typical weekend. I could see downtown was much busier, but I don't know how much of that made it into the mall.

Re: Saturday round-up
Who were the biggest overall donation raisers?
Re: Saturday round-up
Brandon, of course.
Marissa was a fairly close second.
I'll try to do a full stats summary soon.

Is this a permanent change?Ho wrote:I guess Tim did put The Final into the beatmania machine.
Also, I could have went if it was any other weekend. No one would ever drive me downtown on race weekend.
