Apparently there are some new characters on the horizon with the upcoming arcade release, which will probably end up as DLC characters for consoles. Everyone is saying Alex and Rolento are pretty much confirmed, but people also seem to be mentioning more characters on the way including Hugo, Q, Elena, R. Mika, Karin, and maybe some others. WE'LL SEE

Third Strike Online coming to 360/PS3. I'm curious to see the "new content" and hope they do some balancing.

edit: And so about this Street Fighter vs. Tekken thing... apparently Capcom is making SF vs Tekken and Namco is making a separate game called Tekken vs. Street Fighter. Here's the Capcom game which runs on the SSF4 engine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6U7jZ-qMfI Might actually be fun since it's on a familiar engine. I'm guessing the Namco version will be 3D and subsequently garbage. It's still 2 years away so we'll see! The 2v2 feature of capcom's version and it running on the ssf4 engine makes it have promise in my eyes.

Yes that is very good news. I hope it brings more people to the ol' 3rd strike scene. It's kind of frustrating playing the same people over and over again on Supercade.

Riot how is Alex confirmed for SF4? I like Alex and I'm glad more 3S characters are getting some attention.

The ol' "rumor list" that proved 100% true for SSF4 months before release was at it again during Comic Con. From all that I've read, Alex and Rolento are likely to be the two most likely characters for this screenshot:



But who knows! There are rumors for more than just 2 characters as well.

Yep! I love how like, this is the first time in the history of video games where a giant rumor list that surfaced on the internet months before a game was released turned out to be 100% accurate.

I am happy to hear that this trend will continue with the arcade release of this video game.

Well Tilt may increase in popularity and Chad seems like he wants to go and play, and SRK people are starting to go and have tournies there I think. You should practice with us and we can go on dates to the arcade! We can also compete in 3v3 team battles and online tournaments omfg

Um. Ken or Dudley? I don't know.

I played a guy named Merkalator or something with Merk in it, and he used pink Dudley. It was bizarre.

I have been playing more SRK people from Indy area online and getting better. Won 10 in a row in Endless battle today and my PP is like 2650 / BP 5400.

Merk why is Supercade down? I've actually wanted to play 3S lately but I can't. I'm mainly just excited for when it comes to 360 so I can play against a lot of people; I'm also excited to see what they change/add/fix.

Also SSF4 on the new Nintendo 3DS looks surprisingly better than I expected. Of course we haven't seen it in motion: http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/jul/ ... /#comments I wonder what the control setup will be... I don't know how the 3DS is laid out...

Hmm.... I don't know why, but it doesn't work me on Internet Explorer and that's where I always had to play it. I guess I'd have to download .NET stuff for Firefox 3, which according to all these people is terrible and basically malware. Try it on IE for you... does it work? And I don't know if I can play since I have to go to a Tincaps game tonight. Then I have to go to Columbus Ohio over the weekend blech =(
