let's make a video game out of a table-top RPG that looks like The Sims playing a table-top RPG, miniatures and all

there will be an "edit" mode where you can custom paint your miniatures

Alright if that's what you want to do we'll make it happen. Friday is going to be the chill day since we'll be tired from traveling to Chicago.

Unfortunately we have to leave Indy at like 8:30pm since Chad's a boner and works later than everyone ever.

Free Tournament Mode DLC coming June 15th, plus some other bug fixes and stuff along with the patch. Should be fun to have a bracketed tourney system... I'm gonna win some trophies. http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/apr/ ... -mode-dlc/

also, in the market for an HDTV? Why not get the official SSF4 hdtv? lolz http://www.i4u.com/article34262.html

and there's some regional in chicago this weekend, we could go except qualifiers were last week i guess http://shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=235689

I just learned about negative inputs. Very cool!

Did they exist in SF3?

They absolutely did and they are critical for pulling off Dudley's f.hk into SA3 and Yun's s.lp+s.lk+s.mp into Genei Jin.

Also, I don't think it's even possible to do Akuma's f.mp kara raging demon in SF3 without negative inputting the lp unless you were really, really fast.

Outside of "Piano-ing" inputs though they're not very practical, negative inputs are used exclusively for 1-frame links into a super art.

Chad - did you know that with Ryu you can combo a throw into SA2 (Shin-Shoryuken) on Dudley and I think maybe Hugo? The window is very tight, it's probably a 1-frame "link," but if you throw Dudley and immediately do SA2 it will connect. Capcom fucked up Dudley's knock down animation and gave him a very small hitbox right above his chest upon landing. Normally moves can't hit this area, but instant, 0-frame, grab supers can. I believe the only two instant grab supers are a close-up Ryu SA2 and Hugo's SA1 but Hugo's normal throw puts enough space between the fallen Dudley and Hugo that his SA1 will miss.

There's a Youtube of it somewhere.

I understand Negative Edge mostly, but plinking and this kinda crazy stuff is where my mind turns to mush

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCP1sVYU ... r_embedded

i guess plinking from the other videos i've seen and some tutorials is just a way to help with linking, and it gives you more frames or more available time or something to be able to successfully pull off links that may otherwise be hard or impossible without plinking that extra brief attack. the input is kinda like pianoing, which doesn't seem practical but I guess if you just train yourself to do that motion in combos it would come naturally after awhile

Yesterday was a fucking disaster in my video game life.

Played three quick games of Starcraft II before I had to leave to watch a WNBA game with my company at 7:00pm and got profoundly stomped in each game. My 1v1 record when this week started was like 13-6. As of yesterday night I have a fucking 16-17 record or something like that. It's been a really, really bad Starcraft week.

So I went to the WNBA game, had some drinks, our boss foregoed on buying food other than the standard potato chip / pretzel snacks that come with the suites at Conseco so I missed out on the free wieners and buffalo wings. I am a fat man who has an entitlement issue so this royally upset me.

I get home and play a fucking game of Starcraft and am finally trouncing my fucking opponent. I'm in his base killing his dudes until a message pops up on my screen:

"Servers will be shutting down in 3 minutes"

I scramble my little space men and try to finish my opponent within the oh so convenient time limit Blizzard threw on to my good time. My opponent, despite being somewhat retarded, is competent enough to send all his workers out and frantically build cheap buildings (he was Protoss) to last long enough so he won't get a loss on his precious record. Obviously he succeeds in getting a worker or two out and I'm left with a bitter feeling of nerdrage as the servers go down and my streak of shitty Starcraft times continues.

So anyway, I decided to boot up some SSF4 since my boner for the game is slowly coming back after I sparred a little bit with Chado. I started off doing pretty well and gained a nick chunk of 300 PP. I'm on cloud nine here rolling on Kens and Guiles until I hit a huge losing streak. Everything goes to shit I end up losing 600 PP. I tell myself I'm not going to bed until I get to at least where I started for the day in terms of PP. This all started at around 10:45pm.

I went to bed at 1:00am

Fuck video games.

I did TERRIBLY in SSF4 yesterday too, don't worry. Last time I played, I dropped from 5000 BP down to 4400. Yesterday, I dropped down to 3900. When you hit 5000 BP and up your character ranking to B, you start losing more points when you lose, so I got owned. PP went from a good 1800 down to 1000. I chalked it up to not playing for 2 weeks or so, but I'ma try to get back into shape. I just keep letting wins slip away by doing dumb things, and when I get frustrated I just lose even worse.

I JUST WANT MY PP TO GET BIGGER

I don't think she necessarily "sucks," but a lot of people just haven't figured a whole lot out with her or put much time into learning her. I have seen some good players who use her and some very shitty ones, but she seems like she has potential. Whether she is ever played as "top tier" is unknown, but honestly I don't think tier lists mean nearly as much in this game as anything else; everyone is relatively balanced. I'd say she's upper middle if anything.

She is rated as lower middle. U2 is starting to lose favor to U1. I think I might have picked too complex a character. Lots of combos require reserve clouds, and many of the big combos are unsafe.
