Niether did I, but all the same, there's that line, beyond which you're supposed to have a right to privacy. That line for me was the threshold of school property, beyond that, it was my life. They're a public school, not a fascist academy. That's what I told them, anyway. Obviously, they havn't taken it to heart yet.... yet. But they're running out of money now.
I had a friend named Drew that decided to write a hit list as a joke and he did some pretty damn funny comics about his creative ways of killing them. During a surprise locker check the comics were found along with a lighter and since one of his comics had him setting a cheerleader on fire with hairspray and a lighter he got thrown outta school. Lockers weren't allowed to be used ever again so alas! a sea of unused lockers now stand lonely in the vacant hallways of my beloved ( or not ) junior high school.
Also, now that I'm out of High School I want to go back. I miss it. Well, I'd love to go back if the people I knew now went to school with me. That would be a BLAST!
On a side note, having been around this group for a number of years now, I am continually amused by younger people's tendency to state fractional ages and upcoming birthdays, such as: "I'm 16 and a half" or "I'm 19, but I'll be 20 in two weeks."
I probably did this, too. I don't remember when I stopped. I guess when you're young you wish to accelerate, emphasize, and punctuate your age to feel like you're getting somewhere. Later on, getting older doesn't seem like such a big deal...some even dread it (thankfully, not me). I think being around IndyDDR has helped keep me young at heart. Although DDR itself sometimes reminds me of my age when my knees are throbbing and I'm gasping for breath.
haha yea... its because we dont want to be young.. i mean we have ages to shoot for...(ya know.. 16, 18, and 21! lol) the only age you have to shoot for... is well.. whatever age you are gunna retire at i guess lol
