we have an SF3 machine, which is why we may run one, we are not bringing systems in to set up, no room to really do so, we don't have a MVC2 board available

So for Beatmania, do you think it's a good idea to put in a difficulty cap per round? Last time there was just a difficulty minimum so people were playing 10s and 11s in the first few rounds and I'd imagine that that was frustrating for a lot of the people in the tournament. I don't foresee this tournament's turnout to be particularly large so it may not even matter, but I think it's something to at least consider.

Also, will Third Strike be on free play?!

The difficulty Minimium actually only meant that 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s were not allowed to be picked. (The larger irony, the semifinal round had 5.1.1. L7 selected which was a 1 and everybody forgot about the rule.) I do understand your point though as at that tournament there were only 4 people clearing 10s and 11s at that point in time.

So I was thinking that the 3rd strike tourney should be a in a Round Robin format. I thought it'd make it more fun, thoughts?

Pump tournament question:

When are peoples' names replaced into the bag? After every song, after every numbered round, or not at all?

For the song selection I am assuming, their names will go back in at the end of that tier. Thanks for pointing that detail out, I forgot to mention that entirely. :P
